There’s something about the grain of film that feels like coming home. Walking the streets of Portsmouth today, I found myself looking for the old details—the worn cobblestones, the salty edges of the dockyard, the light hitting the brick just right. It’s a reminder that sometimes you have to slow down, rewind, and look at where you started to know where you’re going. Well its almost like a film.. ;-)

It was great to be a part of it!!

Dodgeball, teamwork, and a dash of 2000s film nostalgia took centre stage at a recent corporate tournament in Bitterne.

Just a quick video grab of The Dhol Foundation at Wickham Festival 2026 🥁🔥

Camera couldn't quite handle the bass on this one (sorry about the wonky sound 😅), but honestly? You didn't need to hear it perfectly—you could feel it. The ground was rumbling, the tent was shaking, and so were our souls.

Absolute madness. If you were there, you know. If not, get them on your radar now.

Just a quick video grab of Tommy Emmanuel at Wickham Festival 2026 🎸🔥

If you've never seen this guy play, you need to. Seriously. The man is an absolute guitar god - one of the greatest living acoustic guitarists on the planet. Just him and his guitar, sounding like a whole band . Fingerpicking wizardry that'll make your jaw hit the floor.

He was on the Friday night slot and absolutely tore it up . Had the whole tent in the palm of his hand. The energy, the speed, the pure joy he plays with - he's been doing this since he was 6 and it shows . One of only five people ever to be named a Certified Guitar Player by the legend Chet Atkins himself .

If you missed it, do yourself a favour and look him up. Genuinely one of the best you'll ever see.

Just a quick clip from The Rose & Thistle Pipes and Drums at Wickham Festival 2026 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥁

What a moment—the big red tent was absolutely buzzing when they linked up with the Big Noise Community Samba Band for a fusion of bagpipes, drums and carnival energy that you had to be there to believe ! The sound was incredible, and the whole crowd was on their feet.

These guys are Gosport and Portsmouth based, been going strong for over 68 years with Pipe Major Alan Foggie leading the charge . If you've never seen Highland pipes live, do yourself a favour—it's an experience like no other. Find them, follow them, get them on your radar. Unforgettable.

Just a few snaps from my phone (homemade filter and all 📱☀️) of yesterday's solar eclipse over Southsea Common 🌘

There's something pretty magical about watching the sky darken in the middle of the day, but honestly? The real magic was looking around and seeing so many Portsmouth people, all ages, all walks of life, stopping, looking up, and sharing that moment together. Strangers passing around makeshift viewers, kids gasping, everyone just... present. Together.

The sun might have been the star of the show, but the vibe? That was all us. The darkness passed, the light came back, and I swear everyone walked away with their souls just a little bit brighter.

Sometimes it's not about the perfect photo—it's about being there. 🌞🌑💙

Just a quick clip from The Amy Winehouse Band at Wickham Festival 2026 🎤✨

If you haven't caught them yet, do yourself a favour—this isn't just any tribute act. It's Amy's actual band, led by her longtime musical director Dale Davis on bass, with musicians who performed and recorded with her . They're the real deal, keeping her spirit and legacy alive in the only truly authentic way .

The vocals, the horns, that soul-jazz energy—had the whole field moving. From 'Back to Black' to 'Rehab' and everything in between . Pure class. If you were there, you know. If not, get them on your radar now.
