I said goodbye to my studio in October 2022 after 4.5 years. Change was needed so I hit the pause button. If you asked me back then if I’d do home baby and family I probably would have said no. If you had asked if I’d see myself being able to incorporate 35mm film into family and baby photography I would have definitely said no.

For so long I had 2 separate identities - wedding photographer and studio photographer (focusing largely clean whites and neutral). It was impossible to merge the two. So I took a break.

Fast forward 15 months, I’m shooting as one 🙏🏽. Everything I do in families / babies in terms of how I shoot is now harmonious. It’s more raw, authentic and candid. But still beautiful and precious moments on both digital and analogue.

So here is my first at home session since getting back at it and I’m in love in mix of digital and film. Don’t worry, I still have my wraps / fabrics to incorporate into at home sessions.

As photographers and well actually humans in general, we grow and evolve and I love my work to do the same. I hope you enjoy the journey as much as me 🤍

Just like the session in the photo, photoshoots take place at the comfort of the families own home, we will plan your shoot before hand to help you best prepare and I will find the perfect spaces and nooks within your home for your lifestyle session 🤍

I thought I should re-introduce myself as it’s been a little while!
I’m Charlotte, your photographer behind Folk House Atelier. Previously Charlotte Griffiths Studio, but with my wedding brand it all got a bit confusing so I thought I’d start it all afresh 🤍

My style is fairly editorial inspired for the modern family and I just love it. Most of my work is studio based but I will soon be venturing outside for some gorgeous location work still very much in my same signature style 🤍

I’m a mother of 3 girls and my little prince Hugo 🐕 Based in Portsmouth, Hampshire but will also be venturing up to London every now and then for shoots too which is very exciting!
