Can we have nighttime photos? YES!!!🙌.
As we head into autumn, one of my favourite parts of a wedding day starts to make a comeback… nighttime photographs. 🖤
With the evenings drawing in, we have so much more opportunity to sneak outside and create something a little different.
And when I say sneak outside, I really do mean it , five or ten minutes is usually all I need.
Wrap up warm, grab your coat between shots, and we’ll nip outside with one light and create something beautiful. No disappearing from your wedding for ages. No complicated set-up. Just a few minutes away from the party together.
And we don’t necessarily have to go outside. I love using the venue itself too,doorways, staircases, windows, beautiful architecture and little pockets of light can completely transform after dark.
Having photographed weddings for many years, I’m not limited to working with natural light. I absolutely love getting creative with off-camera flash, particularly as the light starts to disappear.
It means I can create photographs with depth, atmosphere and that little extra bit of magic whatever the evening gives us.
Sometimes all it takes is one light and five minutes.
And very often, they end up being some of my favourite photographs from the entire day. ✨
