1/3 *Full carousel* The mission was to catch my friend Sarah’s band after so many thwarted attempts!! So it finally happened and I thought I’d take my old Xt20, my gig camera along to catch a few snaps.

After mostly doing wedding photography recently it felt good to just shoot for pleasure and with no expectations! I took some straight shots, but mostly I just played! I couldn’t use flash so I toyed with double exposures - often with one slow shutter layer for motion and one faster for detail. Here’s a bunch of the double exposure shots featuring , .paget and who put on a gorgeous show at which is a stunning venue - lots of fairy lights to experiment with!

Props to for the inspiration on the upside down layered double. I know I’ve credited you on here before but I like to acknowledge this. 🙏

Artists shoots have been possibly my most SATISFYING work this year. I’m so grateful to get the opportunity to do this work and that these artists have trusted me to capture their art and promotional shots. Made it onto a record sleeve and a selection of digital releases too which is just the coolest!

If I get to do more of this kind of work in 2026 I will be very happy indeed. Thanks to .hunzinger and for trusting me and allowing me the freedom to get creative and just do my thing - these were among my favourite shoots of the year and I love the work we produced together. 🙏❤️🙌🏻 Happy New Year!

My final commercial shoot of 2025 was at the very wonderful Imagine.Oswaldtwistle, a brand new soft play centre in Oswaldtwistle, due to open officially early next year. It’s a sprawling space which really is designed to spark the imagination and encourage creative play. It was a treat to capture children and parents trying out the space for the first time! 😊

I’d like to thank all my commercial clients for bookings this year and of course to ICON Web Design and more recently Mawbray Website Design for continuing to support my work. It’s been my first full year as a professional photographer and it’s been wonderful to see the business continue to grow since its beginnings last year. I’ve been taking photos for a couple of decades but it was a bold step for me to take this leap and try to turn this passion into a career. Absolutely zero regrets!! ❤️ I’ve had great feedback on my work this year and I genuinely look forward to each and every shoot.

I’m excited for what the new year will bring and delighted that my diary for January is already looking pretty busy, including a return visit to Imagine! 🙌🏻 Happy New Year!!
