This is my third rental with them and I cannot fault their service. Ideal when you need a lens for a specific use case but can’t scrape together the money to buy one! Thoroughly recommended! Think I might try the 400mm f/2.8 next time - that’s definitely a lens I’ll never be able to buy!” 🙌

He's walking 1000 miles from Anglesey to Lands End, via Southend - a route chosen, we assume, by someone who has never heard of straight lines.

It’s not the first time Paul has done something wildly impractical to raise money and awareness for this magnificent species, and knowing him, it probably won’t be the last.

A gentle reminder to please, please use our packaging when returning items to us.

Our boxes are lined with 2 inches of high-density foam and built specifically for sending expensive glass safely around the UK. They have protected our lenses for years and are very good at their job.

This Sony lens, however, decided to travel home in just its little Sony zip case. No box. No padding. No protection. Just vibes.

The courier driver even had to find a mailing bag so a return label could be stuck on it.

Frankly, it is nothing short of a miracle that it made it back to us at all, never mind in one piece.

Looking on the bright side, this is an extraordinary advert for Sony build quality. This £1900 Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II will have spent its journey bouncing around with a million other parcels on belts, in lorries and in vans — and somehow lived to tell the tale.

Well done, Sony UK Sony - Alpha Universe

But please, for the sake of our nerves, use our packaging.
