We made it through the darkest weeks of the year!
This time of year is usually quieter for my sessions, and I really miss shooting and meeting people. But it’s also a time to slow down a little, plan ahead, and get ready for what’s coming. My 2026 calendar is already filling up with spring sessions, and my mind keeps wandering to bluebells and daffodils, then cherry trees, rhododendrons, cow parsley, and finally heather, my favourite.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been learning, experimenting, and working on a small but meaningful side project that’s been fuelling my creativity. I’ve also treated myself to a new set of lights, and I’m perfecting the art ofshaping light indoors and outdoors. Creating my own sunlight on grey days feels pretty exciting.
I’ve always worked with brands alongside family sessions, and I’m spending a bit more time developing that side of my work too. I’ll share more when the time feels right.
So if I’ve been a little quieter here lately, that’s why. Busy behind the scenes, learning and getting ready to meet all the families when the days get warmer.
