One of the joys of using a Rolleiflex is how it transforms a walk around Glasgow’s remarkable Mural Trail into a slower, more thoughtful experience, revealing familiar street art in a completely different way.
Completely different to my last post, but a few people asked about my Rolleiflex when I posted my selfie a couple of weeks ago.
For this outing, I took a 1961 Rolleiflex 3.5F loaded with Ilford HP4.
I love how medium format film slows everything down and encourages you to notice the details. Seeing these murals through a 65-year-old camera in square format and black and white gives them a very different feel from the digital images we’re used to.
Amazing that a camera built in 1961 is still out there making photographs.
