Help a man out...

If I've photographed your wedding, taught you something on a workshop, or just generally pointed a camera in your direction and you didn't hate the experience, I'd be incredibly grateful if you could leave me a Facebook recommendation or a Google review.

Reviews make a huge difference to small businesses like mine and help future couples decide whether I'm the right slightly mental bloke to trust with their wedding photos.

If you'd like to leave a Google review, you can do so here:
https://g.page/r/CRtXuRoxpdPGEAE/review or shove one on here if you look under reviews.

I'd appreciate it more than a Vanilla Matcha Latte.

Statement regarding the article published today in the Press & Journal.

Some clients and couples may have seen the story published online today and may be wondering why I have been named in connection with it.

For the past four years, I have done everything within my power to raise concerns about this individual and to protect couples and the wider wedding industry.

Many people outside the industry may not understand why this matters so much, but for those of us who work in weddings, we are entrusted with people during some of the most important and vulnerable moments of their lives.

As wedding photographers/suppliers, we are often present throughout the entire wedding day, including during preparations when brides, bridesmaids and family members are getting ready. It is a position of trust that should never be abused.

I was aware of the allegations for the 4 years, but until legal proceedings reached the point where information could be shared publicly, there were limits on what I could do.

Within those limits, I informed wedding suppliers locally and continued to raise concerns wherever appropriate. Repeated delays to the court process made this an incredibly frustrating and upsetting situation to witness.

Following the remand, I was finally able to speak publicly about the case. I have also provided information to the relevant authorities regarding matters I believed should be investigated further.

My priority throughout has been the safety of couples, the reputation of our industry, and ensuring that people can make informed decisions about who they trust on their wedding day.

Am I concerned that I have been named? No, it's nothing I haven't been saying for 4 years. The article states other photographers have reached out to help couples. I have not as profiting from this as me, would be wrong morally for me.

His victims now have justice and following his remand...the police now know more about his working whilst suspended along with the camper van hire business under a fake name. All in the hope they can recoup financially his pension and possibly the salary he was being paid for 4 years.

And 'K' this quote is actually f'n disgusting!!! Tarnished and destroyed the company? What about his victims you wrongun! Take your business and put it in the bin after you've refunded the couples.

Speaking to the P&J, Ross’ business partner said that the conviction had effectively destroyed the company overnight.

“That photography business is actually both of ours, but now it’s just been completely tarnished because people are putting stuff online about it,” she said.

Sergeant Cameron Ross secretly worked as a wedding photographer while suspended and awaiting trial for r**e, leaving his bookings in the lurch after he was jailed.

Unfortunately their original photographer cancelled on them so I jumped in on short notice and off wee went. The sneak peeks, the previews, before I get into the actual gallery and editing.

Rain threatened, it stayed away right up until we were done. A wee 2 hour booking covered.

It has begun...

The Great Big Fat Eviction of Weddings Living Rent Free on My Gallery Website.

Everyone with a gallery that's more than 4 years old should have received an email from me, or spotted one of my many subtle (not subtle) social media reminders over the past few weeks warning that the end is nigh.

If you've not yet downloaded your photos or ordered a USB backup, and your gallery is over 4 years old, today is your last chance before I ceremoniously yeet it into the digital abyss.

The bailiffs arrive at 5pm sharp.

By then, all photos must be packed, downloaded, collected, or otherwise removed from the premises. Any images left behind will be escorted from the building with immediate effect.

No excuses. No extensions. No appeals to the court.

Get moving.

A quick dive into today’s wedding with Iona and Flynn, getting married in Iona’s parents’ garden.

The weather spent most of the day threatening rain, but apart from the wind doing its best to steal veils and hairstyles, we stayed mostly dry.

I joined them, along with all their family and pals, for half a day to capture the big moments while letting the two of them do everything at their own pace… which was basically zoom zoom zooooom all day long.

Images are importing just now, but here are a few randoms from the day. Enjoy!

Shout out to my fellow suppliers:

On the video: Highland Wedding Films
On the hair: HUR by HER
On the faces: Rebecca Hastings Hair and Makeup
On the flowers: I’ll find out!

I’ll tag other suppliers as I get the info. A nice wee 4 hour booking. Dance the night away guys!

Today’s roaster of a wedding sneak peeks! We stared off at where this pair are regular visitors. Friends and family then made their way to Loch Fleet for the ceremony before we all descended on Dornoch Castle Hotel.

Thanks to my fellow suppliers:

Wee Ceilidh is always on my recommended florist list (with others, so pipe down) I’ve only done a couple of weddings with her so far, but both times she absolutely smashed it. And her prices? More than reasonable… possibly too reasonable.

I’ve got a few more weddings with her this year, so I’ll need to get myself into the shop at some point.

Having a fresh young florist back in Dingwall, she opens tomorrow, actually reminded me of Lisa from The Flower Basket, another one of my recommended suppliers from years ago, who very sadly passed away far too young.

Pop in and see wee Ceilidh, she'll either waffle on about candles, flowers, dress catastrophe's or something else...but in a good way. Fluraichean Flowers
