🌲🎞️ Wrapped in the deep greens, reds, and blues of the Balmoral Hunting Tartan, this serape reflects a tradition rooted in both purpose and heritage. I photographed it in the Victorian glasshouse at Balmoral, a 19th-century structure built to shelter delicate plants from the Highland elements. Both the tartan and the glasshouse tell a similar story: one of enduring Scottish craftsmanship, made to withstand wind, rain, and time — all while celebrating beauty, tradition, and the quiet strength found in thoughtful design. 🌲🎞️

I’ve recently had the pleasure of working alongside the incredibly talented Araminta Campbell. This project was particularly special to me, as Minta and I used to spend many Sundays in the art school, where I was always in awe of her creativeness, talent with textiles and attention to detail. Photographing her astounding collection brought back nostalgic memories of our school days alongside and brought a renewed excitement as we worked side by side in our creative fields again.
