Spring at Grace Cottage

Grace Cottage is always changing, especially outside in the garden. We have some renovation plans to get stuck into this Summer in the house, which will transform some of the spaces I have to offer. I’ll share our plans soon, just finalising ideas & timings.

5 things to know before hiring a location house

1. Be clear on what you want from the day - write a list of objectives for the day. A shot list is a great way to remind you of what images & video content you need.

2. Take props that will support your story - a change of clothes, your favourite mug, basically anything that will build the picture & share insight into your story

3. Pace yourself & stick to your plan - It’s a long day so make sure to take breaks. Use moments between setting up the next scene to grab a drink or have a minute to look through your shot list.

4. Save time, some concepts just don’t work out how you imagine - Don’t waste time on a set up if something doesn’t look right. It’s sometimes best to move to the next thing on your list and come back to it later.

5. Remember to enjoy yourself! - the more at ease you are, the more you’ll get from your day.

The Summer Content Club is all about helping you fall in love with gathering your content. There’s no subscription fees, just exclusive workshops that once you’ve booked onto one, you are classed as a member of the club!

You can choose to do one or all of what’s up for grabs, each is designed to support you in crafting out your storytelling content and some are only available on fixed dates.

The best thing, when you join the club you receive a Summer Content Club Tote, to store all your props & content bits. Plus you’ll have the opportunity to connect with others in the group via a private instagram account, where I’ll be sharing advice, inspiration & behind the scenes.

It’s officially opens on Saturday 21st and the Club runs between 1st May to July 31st. If you can wait till then, head to the link in my profile & sign up to get access this Friday!
