One of a few green shield bugs (Palomena prasina) in the garden last week.

I love capturing the characters of all these little creatures living in the garden.

How can you not fall in love with them.

My nigella have been looking lovelynin amongst the grasses in the garden.

Wishing everyone a lovely week.

It's Friday which can only mean one thing..... Frog Friday time.

This cutie was in the pond yesterday, I didn't notice it at first as I was filling up the pond, I did apologise for pouring water over it 😅 but it didn't seem to mind.

Lovely to see a couple of black and red froghoppers (Cercopis vulnerata) in the garden this morning.

The wonderful thing about concentrating my photography on the garden this year is that I can pop out for ten minutes in my breaks from my artwork.

Moths just don't get the love that butterflies do, look at how beautiful this mint moth is and it's busy pollination my strawberry plants so they are very welcome in our garden.

Back out in the garden yesterday, the sun came out and so did the spiders.

So happy to see this sun jumping spider with food.

There are so many different stages to plants when they flower.

Before the petals open on the nigella in my garden, they look just beautiful layered up.

A first for me, a reed warbler from a few weeks ago.

Since taking on being an artist more or less full time alongside my project work, I definitely notice and photograph more when I do get chance to get out.

Heading back to the Somerset Levels for today's image of a furrow orb weaver spider wrapping up a four spotted chaser dragonfly.

At this time of year these spiders often weave their webs across the top of the reeds where the dragonflies are roosting, catching them as they take off from the reeds once they've warmed up.

Despite heading down almost every year for this spectacle, I've only been lucky enough to see this a handful of times.

Staying in Madagascar with this Verreaux's sifaka in the spiny forests.

One day I would love to return to Madagascar for so many reasons.
