T H A N K Y O U ✨
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who took part in and followed this lockdown project. I photographed 105 households in Frome and met SO many lovely people in the process. It’s been absolutely amazing. Frome is definitely one of the best places to live 🥰 Keep your eyes peeled for the book coming soon! 🤞🏼 if you want to keep up with my other work, please follow Fox & Beau Photography

We never actually managed to get a photo of all of us outside our house during lockdown. So here is one for you from our lockdown wedding instead 😂

What’s been the most challenging for you during lockdown so far? - “For us lockdown hasn’t looked hugely different. We both work from home anyway but I guess having 3 children at home 24/7 and juggling their needs with schooling/work/chores etc has been challenging. I’d say the biggest challenge of all though is not dipping into the biscuit tin too much 🐷 ”

What advice would you have given your pre-lockdown self? - “To slow down, live for now and not focus too much on the future. You never know what's round the corner and that you must learn to take each day as it comes.“

What do you miss most about your pre-lockdown life? - “Not being able to eat at our favourite local cafes and restaurants and going to our favourite places is something that we miss. We can’t wait to give our loved ones hugs and be in their company. On reflection it has been great to spend time as a family and realise what’s really important to us.”

What’s one habit you think you’ll continue? - “Baking and cooking, prior to lockdown, I never made time for either too busy working all the time. Since lockdown began it’s made me appreciate the sense of achievement baking and cooking gives me.”

What's been the most positive about lockdown so far? - "The most positive thing for us has been having time together as a family we would never have had otherwise. Our son had his second heart surgery in March and we spent the first month of lockdown shielding. It has given us back precious time we had lost over his first year and gave our baby much needed time to recover."

What’s been the most challenging for you during lockdown so far? - “Having to adapt the business very quickly has been a challenge for the whole team. For many of us it’s about finding time to relax and maintaining mental wellbeing while trying to keep both Businesses afloat.”

What do you miss most about your pre-lockdown life? - “ I would say definitely spending time with family and friends. We have missed them desperately! Our Son turned 1 just before Christmas and is a sociable little babe so I do worry about the lack of social contact for him especially with other children - but he's also been enjoying having us both at home all the time and lots of sunny days in the garden!”

What’s one habit that you think you’ll continue? - “I have asked the family this question and we all agree that we have all really loved cooking and eating together and have enjoyed the food we’ve made so much more. We have also got into a great habit of collecting milk from the Tytherington Milk Station near the railway station with our reusable bottles which I hope stays put.....the milk is delicious 😋”
