Wow, what a week it’s been 😅
I genuinely don’t think I’ve had a single minute to myself — at this point I’m convinced my calendar is running its own secret side‑hustle.
That’s why I’ve been a bit quiet on here.
Normally I’m posting every day for you lovely lot, but the last 7 days have been a full‑on rollercoaster 🎢 (the kind where you get off wondering what year it is).

Hoping tomorrow brings a calmer, more relaxed pace 🤞

If I’ve been a bit quiet this week, it’s because I’m still crawling out from under the mountain of Fine Art head studies after four 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥‑𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰.
Busy is good. Busy keeps me out of mischief. (Allegedly.)

One absolute highlight?
Two gorgeous 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐓𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐬 strutted in — and their owner casually dropped the bombshell that they’re the daughters of a girlie I photographed four years ago.
Well… that was it.
I had to go full drama.

So happy....just found out my 'double suspension gallop' has just won a Gold award from the International Association for Photographers today.
I also noticed that I was awarded 5 Highly Commended for other pieces.
I am so chuffed and to top it all they have used the image below as their new Header for the FB page.

What a lovely session we had here on our 7‑acre private studio grounds last Tuesday with 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐬.
I normally share a little taster on the day, but with us being away at the SKC with our exhibition trailer, time simply wasn’t on my side. This one was worth the wait.

These four beauties — 𝐃𝐞𝐱𝐲, 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐡𝐲, 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐲 — travelled down for their session, and it felt incredibly special. Four years ago I had the honour of photographing 𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐈𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥, and with these four, that brings the total to 𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.

Sophie first came to me as a tiny 12‑week‑old puppy, so seeing her again, all grown up and full of confidence, was a moment that really touched me. The other three were new faces, each with their own personality, charm and sparkle — and they settled into the session beautifully.

All four gave their absolute all throughout the session. They worked with such heart, patience and enthusiasm, and I couldn’t have asked for more. A truly brilliant day with four very special dogs.

This weekend at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show marks the beginning of the end for our exhibition trailer.
After three final dates, we are officially retiring from public events and trade stands permanently.
