SNEAK PEEK - JANET & DAVID πŸ’ŒπŸŒΉπŸ’˜

The happy couple had a really lovely family ceremony at the Glynhill Hotel in Renfrew, it was my first time shooting there and it was great to work with their coordinator Katie to find out a bit more about the venue.

I was there from guest arrival, covered their ceremony, got the couple outside for a confetti photo and all the group shots, and then did some photographs of the couple alone in and around the grounds of the hotel before their meal.

After the meal, I took them to the Fountain Park in Paisley to get some more couple photos and we were treated to some really nice evening light in the process before heading back to the hotel for their first dance and evening celebrations.

🌿 I always love to take the opportunity to scope out interesting local nature spots nearby wedding venues that'll make for great photo opportunities for a nice varied gallery of shots for my couples and I was so glad to find Fountain Park which acted as a stunning backdrop for some couple only photos.

All in all, it was a wonderful day and congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs! πŸ₯‚

SNEAK PEEK - RHUARIDH & LYSETTE πŸ§πŸ’πŸ’

It was great to go back to Blackshaw Barns, a cracking venue and local to me as well. John came along to capture photography as well for a few hours (quick reminder: you can choose to have a second shooter for certain parts of the day, it doesn't have to be from beginning to end).

✨ This one was an amazing DIY wedding, to the point where the groom was up until 1am the night before 3D printing Pokémon characters for the tables. It was all very, very cool.

The weather wasn't the best on the day but the happy couple didn't let that phase them one bit. We still got outside for some lovely photographs out in the rain and it was the first time I've had a groom actually drop the bride after picking her up but she bounced back and it ended up in raucous laughter.

🀠 After the post-ceremony couples photos, they changed into their country and western outfits for the reception. They hit the dancefloor and did some karaoke too.

Rhuaridh and Lysette were such a lovely couple to work with and had a smashin day full of fun. Congrats to the new husband and wife! β™₯️πŸ₯‚

Danny and John from Fable & Fern shot this wedding and it was a wonderful day for the happy couple, surrounded by their nearest and dearest.

Their wedding had lots of interesting wee details including a walk around Saltcoats town centre and popping into a local pub for a shot (a couple after our own hearts!) to getting some lovely couple's photos on the beach before Robert The Robot and a DJ dash. It was a busy day filled with fun.

Peter is now busy editing the full gallery for Fiona and Mark and excited to share even more with them. Congrats to the bride and groom! β™₯️

πŸŒžπŸŒ™ The eclipse might have been tough to see for the clouds last night but it's hard to be angry at the Scottish weather when it's as beautiful as this.

Capturing nature-led photography has become a signature for the Fable & Fern team. We love to mix it up with couple's shots straight after the ceremony, early in the day when (hopefully) the sun is high and shining bright, and then going out for a relaxed wander at golden hour for those dreamy sunset shots with wispy clouds in the background.
