Wedding mornings aren’t just about bridal prep! While the groom is getting suited and booted, there are so many little moments happening around him that deserve to be captured too. 📸

The groom fastening his waistcoat, Dad sorting his tie, another final check in the mirror, all those little details before everyone heads off to watch two people say I do. 🥹

I love photographing groom prep because it tells another side of the wedding morning, usually a little less chaotic than the girls 😂 but just as important.

And there’s something so timeless about a man in a tux, isn’t there?! 🖤

BRIDE PREP vs GROOM PREP 🤍🥂

One wedding. One venue. Two photographers. Two completely different sides of the morning 📸

Amber & Zak’s gorgeous June wedding at Fennes is the perfect example of why having a second photographer can be such a bonus.

While one photographer is capturing the dress, shoes, flowers and all the excitement happening with the bride, the other can be with the groom capturing the details, the nerves, the drinks and everything happening on his side too.

It means more photographs, more little moments, more details and two different perspectives of the same day & later on, we can be in two places at once, capture different angles and each bring our own interpretation to a moment. ✨

I was second shooting this one for Claire, and because Amber is also a friend of mine, it was such a lovely relaxed wedding for me to photograph… with the added bonus that I could put the camera down occasionally and actually enjoy myself too 💃🏻🥂😂

A little reintroduction because it’s been a while 🤎📸

Hi, I’m Dion, the face behind Dion Denmark Photography 👋🏼

I’m a wedding photographer, a hopeless romantic, and a big believer that your wedding photos should actually feel like your wedding day.

My style is natural, relaxed and candid. I’m much more interested in the belly laughs, happy tears, wonky veils, drunken dancing and all those little moments happening in between than having you stand posing for hours.

Although… give me confetti, a golden hour sunset and a packed dancefloor and I am VERY happy 😂🥳

It’s been a little quieter around here this year. Alongside photography I’ve been studying to become a Dispensing Optician, so life has been a bit of a juggling act between work, studying, exams, weddings and everything else life likes to throw at you.

And then life quite literally knocked me off my feet… 🩼😂

After breaking my leg and having surgery, I’ve unexpectedly found myself with a LOT more time at home and, consequently, a lot more time with my IPad.

So I’m finally giving this page some much-needed love again. 🤎

There are so many gorgeous weddings, photographs and moments sitting in my galleries that I’ve never shared, so expect lots more from me. If there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, let me know

A little life update because I've been a bit quiet on here lately🤍

Life has definitely been keeping me busy!

📸 Over the last couple of months I've photographed two beautiful weddings in May, followed by another in June where I was second shooting with BARE PHOTO (and also lucky enough to be a guest with Declan🌙). I also had the loveliest maternity session with a gorgeous mum-to-be and her little boy, and honestly, my heart is so full that I get to capture these moments for people.

💻 I've edited and delivered two full wedding galleries in just three weeks, which has meant plenty of late nights at the computer making sure my couples could relive their day as soon as possible.

🎉 Today was a huge milestone- I found out I've passed all 8 of my practical exams I did back in June! 🥹 One theory exam left to go, and if all goes to plan, I'll be progressing into Year 2 of my Dispensing Optician course in September. It's been a lot of hard work, but I'm so proud of myself.

💚 Outside of work, I've been making time for the people I love. Declan and I had a little date night (Toy Story 5 and my first ever Slim Chickens), I've been visiting my great aunt in her care home, celebrated my best friend's little boy turning five, watched my sister head off to prom, enjoyed the first BBQ of the year with friends, kept up with the World Cup, and even booked my 30th birthday party!🥂

July is looking just as exciting, with a wedding anniversary celebration to photograph, the Symphony Dance rehearsals to capture, and plenty of revision ready for my final theory exam. 📚🤞

Life has been busy, and sometimes social media has to take a back seat. But I'm still here, still doing what I love, and so grateful for every single person who trusts me to capture their memories and supports my little business.

Here's to smashing one final exam, making more memories, and seeing what the rest of 2026 has in store! 🤎
