It's always really great to photograph a few weddings during the course of the year and particularly nice to be able to share some of the images from those special days.
With thanks to Julia and Roland I am now able to share some of the photos from their special day on 7th April at the amazing St Osyth Priory.
I have lived in the area for longer than I care to remember and have driven past The Priory thousands of times both for work and outside of work but have never been in it.
All I can say is Wow!! if you are looking for a wedding venue anywhere then the Priory is hard to beat. Stunning historic buildings, the smallest chapel ever and impeccable grounds and its own Herd of Deer....and a Bull ! Special thanks as well to the wedding planners and staff who were also first class.
With the Priory solely dedicated to Julia and Rolands wedding day it was a photographer's dream. This was topped off by being able to use the grounds after the guests had gone to take some night photos of Julia and Roland using the buildings and entrances as backdrops. A magical day, place, photo opportunities and couple to work with.

April has been a busy wedding month and we have got to share those wedding days with really great couples. The latest wedding was with Wendy and Phil who got married on the 19th April at Colchester Castle. With the weather set fair, which it has for all our weddings this month, we had a great time photographing both the ceremony in the Castle and then making use of the always fantastic looking grounds in Castle Park. With Spring flower colour in full bloom and matching the amazing bridal outfits (Wendy the bride made her dress herself. Now thats clever!!) we took a leisurely stroll round the grounds. A highlight was a Squirrel who wandered up to Wendy and Phil (as per the picture ) and in a Squirrel sort of way wished them all the very best on their happy day. You cant ask for much more than that. A fantastic day and thanks to Wendy Phil and family for allowing the sharing of these photos.

Easter has been a busy photo period for us with two weddings. Firstly Victoria and Roberts wedding on Saturday at the Rose and Crown in Colchester. Was a great day and lovely to catch up with some friends and work colleagues from the past.
The second wedding was Julia and Roland at St Osyth Priory on Tuesday. What an amazing venue that is (goes down as the number 1 venue in my opinion ) and once again we had a great time meeting up with friends and work colleagues.
Thankyou to both wedding couples for making both days so easy for us and just having fun which is what a wedding day should be all about.
Oh and the sun never stopped shining for both weddings which was a real added bonus for early April.

On the 16th February 2026 at the fantastic and fairly recently opened Marquis Hotel and Spa Wedding Venue we had a really great day photographing the wedding of Alison and Ian. The weather was decidedly changeable and more like April Showers on steroids than February. However that did nothing to stop a great wedding with a really great couple and their family and friends to share the day. And the sun did actually come out and say hello at the right moment in the late afternoon just before it set. A special day for a special couple at a special venue. Loved it

A few weeks ago we had the most fun day photographing the wedding of Dawn Bradley and Danny Bradley at Villiers Barn in Little Clacton. The weather held fair, The Autumn colours were making themselves known and it was a thoroughly enjoyable day from beginning to end. Even the sun decided to show itself just before sunset to allow us to capture a sunset couple photo. What more could you ask... Oh and this wedding will be forever remembered as the "Bosh" wedding. If you know you know 😉

It's summer and its wedding time. Here are some the highlights of Stacey and Kials wedding day with their absolute star of a daughter Layla who had the most fantastic time showing how good she was in front of the camera. While the weather was less than ideal (yes even during this hot summer there has been the odd rainy day) this didnt dampen anyones spirits and everyone had a great time. Villiers Barn provided the perfect wedding location and working alongside other suppliers, Ivy Blossom Florals and Red Carpet Video - Cinematic Wedding Films amongst others the day went really well and we wish Stacey, Kial and Layla all the very best for the future.

This Saturday I will be walking over 30 miles to help raise money and awareness of Cardiac Risk In the Young alongside Zoe Mallett Deborah Smith and Matt Ladkin and I’m helping raise money for Cardiac Risk in the Young!

The lovely warm dry summer weather held on for the wedding blessing and reception of Sarah and Keith at St Michaels Church in Thorpe and then at Grange Farm Farm Campsite. A really lovely day with lots of laughter and entertainment for the wedding couple, their family and friends. Evening entertainment was live band "Stiff in the Morning" who were really excellent. Also great to work alongside hair stylist Karen Mackintosh (Maskbykaren) and make up artist DEVON-ABIGAIL MUA.

Had a really fantastic day photographing the wedding of Pauline and Jason at Colchester and then back at Harwich on Friday. We were treated to a lovely sunset at Ha'Penny Pier and Harwich Harbour and it was a great opportunity to grab some photos to capture the last light of day and to celebrate their first day as a married couple. Congratulations to them both and their family.

Had a really great time photographing a wedding for a lovely couple and their family at Colchester Registry Office and then back to Harwich. The weather was hot but we got an opportunity to do some wedding sunset photos at Ha'penny Pier just as the sun was setting. This was just prior to me doing those photos and you can see what a lovely tranquil sunset it was and more refreshingly cool. Also got to catch up with friend and photographer Steven Collis afterwards which was really great.
