When bimbling around Deva Town on a Sunday afternoon, it’s always worth popping into Alexander's Live Chester to catch some blues, jazz or, as today, some excellent ska/reggae-infused tunes and interpretations — the perfect way to while away a few hours and just chill.

The Blah de Blah were on fine form. 🎶

Another night of excellent music and great collaborations at Open String Night last Monday at JAX on Northgate Street. A fantastic evening, guided by the ever-energetic and enthusiastic Wezz Howe. Thanks to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable night!

Chester Open Mic Events.

Tad warm at the The Live Rooms on Friday with 3 bands on and all in swelltering form.

First up was the excellent who have just released new double A side single Lilac Fields/Drowning in the sea available at ditto.fm/lilac-fields Top notch as ever.

Second up was playing first gig ever with the enthusiasm and joy that brings.

Bringing lots of energy, tunes and passion the headline was and i look forward hearing more from them.

Less bimbling last few days as outside temperatures have been going upward and today was 46c.

Sat still in full shade of a tree, by side of river, with a light breeze, sweating like I’m in a sauna. 39/40 by thermometer in shade by front door.

Less bimbling too hot 40c+ more hydration and minimal movement……
