I'm still processing what meant to me... But I know that the reality far exceeded my expectations.

A huge amount of work and love and energy went into making this event so incredible, thank you ATOMIC: For the Small & Mighty Business I loved every minute of it!

A huge shoutout to Erin Thomas Wong I really Erin Thomas Wongyou and the wonderful women you brought together.

One of the many reasons I went to Atomicon was to see Amelia Sordell speak... ItAmelia Sordell to meet her afterwards and get a giant warm hug from her - thank you ❤️

One of my favourite talks was from Teresa Heath-Wareing (CampTeresa Heath-Wareing (Campbell)th her knowledge and I loved her energy and vibe, looking forward to getting to know her better.

Right, I'm off to take a siesta... The last two days were absolutely exhausting, and I can't wait to do it again next year!

It's been a while since I've shared some of the incredible women I have the privilege of working with.

These images are from last month's mini shoot day.
Behind every photo is a woman building something meaningful.

Coaches. Consultants. Therapists. Counsellors. Creatives.

Many of them walked away from successful corporate careers because they wanted more freedom, more purpose, and the opportunity to make a real difference through their work.

What nobody tells you when you start a business is how much of your success depends on your willingness to be seen.

Not just posting on social media.

But knowing what you want to be known for.
Understanding who you want to help.
Having a clear message.
Building trust.

Creating visibility that actually leads to opportunities, enquiries and clients.

Because working hard isn't always the problem.
Most business owners are already working incredibly hard.

The challenge is making sure the right people understand who you are, what you do, and why they should choose you.

That's exactly why I'm running my Confident Visibility Day.

A day designed to help you step away from the day-to-day running of your business and look at the bigger picture.

We'll work on your visibility strategy, your messaging, your confidence, your content and how you show up in a way that feels authentic to you.

You'll leave with more clarity, a clear plan, and practical tools you can continue using long after the day is over.

Because the work you're doing matters.
And more people need to know about it.

If you've been working hard but feel like you're still the best-kept secret in your industry, this day was created for you.

I used to think confidence came from experience.
The more successful you became, the more confident you felt.

But this conversation with challenged that completely.

In the latest episode of Confident AF, she talks about how confidence comes when you genuinely enjoy the work you do and feel safe enough to fully be yourself while doing it.

That hit me hard.

Because so many women are trying to build visibility while feeling disconnected from themselves.

They’re posting because they “should.”
Networking because they “have to.”
Trying to sound professional instead of sounding like themselves.

No wonder confidence feels hard.

In this episode we talk about the connection between confidence, purpose, work and self belief and why confidence cannot be separated from how aligned you feel in your life and business.

It’s one of those conversations that makes you pause and reflect on what’s really going on underneath the surface.

🎙️ Full episode is now live on Spotify.

This week just felt like summer ☀️
I was shooting in Delamere Forest and it honestly looked so beautiful.

But here’s something most people don’t realise…
Photographers don’t always love bright sunshine.
It might look perfect, but strong sunlight can be harsh. It creates shadows across the face and makes everything feel a little less soft.

Give me a cloudy day and I’m happy. The light is even, gentle, and so much more flattering.

That said, this is where experience comes in.

I’ll often plan shoots during golden hour, that hour just before sunset when everything softens and glows. And during the day, I’m always finding shade and using a handheld diffuser to soften the light.

I actually started my photography business in the Middle East, so I learned pretty quickly how to work with strong sun.

And now I love it. Because no matter the conditions, we can still create something beautiful.

If you’ve been thinking about doing a shoot this summer, this is your sign.

My ‘Seen in Summer’ package is open and I’d love to tell you more. Send me a message and let’s chat 🤍

10 years today, and I became a mum to this sweet, smart and sassy little girl ❤️

10 years ago, I decided I was going to work on my own terms so I could be there for her.

10 years to this day, and I am so proud of the business I've created which allows me the flexibility, freedom and the finances to take her on a holiday every year.

It wasn't easy and there were so many days I wanted to give up and go back to a 'real job'.

But I couldn't. I wouldn't.

She's my big little why for everything I do.

Hi, if we haven't met. I'm Maira and I help female founders to get visible with clarity and confidence, so that they can create and grow a business that helps them pursue a life of income and impact.

I'd love to know how long you've been in business and why 👇🏾👇🏾

This morning when I came down and opened the card, I almost chocked with emotion and gratitude 🥹 ❤️

What my 10 year old wrote on that card left me speechless. You don't realise how closely you're little ones are watching you.

To know that she understands why I work so hard running my business and that I inspire her... It's worth everything to me.

The long hours, the working weekends, the evening events, the mum guilt, the frozen pizzas...I am so grateful that my kids understand the grit it takes to run and sustain a successful business.

📷 Last summer I saved enough money and took them to this gorgeous luxury Corfu resort in Corfu and we spent so much quality time together. I know we made memories that will last us a lifetime.

Happy Mother's Day to all the hard working mums, you are an inspiration to your children, and us, the other mums, so don't ever give up those dreams ❤️❤️

Today feels like a good day to pause and say thank you to all the women in my life.

I feel incredibly grateful to have so many brilliant women in my life who are part of my business journey.

The women who support you.
The women who challenge you.
The women who share ideas, opportunities and encouragement.

The women who celebrate your wins — and pick you up when things feel hard.
Some are friends.
Some are collaborators.
Some are clients.
Some I’ve met through networking, events and the work (or play) we do 🥎😅

But every one of them has played a part in the journey.

Running a business can sometimes feel like a solo path, but the truth is that none of us do this alone.
Behind every business owner is a community of people who inspire them, support them and remind them to keep going.

Today, on International Women’s Day, I’m feeling especially grateful for the incredible women who are part of my world.

You know who you are. ❤️
