Her business doubled after our first brand shoot... and these are the images from shoot number two.

When Sorrel first came to me, she wanted her brand to feel more premium, more luxurious and more aligned with the incredible travel experiences she creates.

We weren't just taking pretty photos.

We were changing perception.

Since our first shoot, her business has grown dramatically. She told me the images played a huge part in helping her attract the kind of clients she wanted and position herself as the luxury travel expert she is.

That made this second shoot even more special.

This was the very first brand shoot in my new home studio space. I absolutely loved creating these images here and I can't wait to welcome more incredible business owners through the doors over the coming months.

Yesterday I stood in front of a room full of people and did something that felt incredibly uncomfortable.

I didn't introduce myself by talking about my business.

I shared a story.

I took everyone back to being 8 years old, being bullied at school, feeling different because of my skin colour, and how those experiences led me to hate being in photos for years.

It felt vulnerable.

But if I ask my clients to step in front of the camera and show up as themselves, I have to be willing to do the same.

Afterwards, so many people came over to talk to me.

Not about photography.
Not about branding.
Not about my services.

They wanted to talk about the story.

They said they felt like they knew me. They understood why I do what I do. They connected with me on a human level.

And that's the thing about storytelling...

People might forget your job title.
They might forget exactly what you said.

But they'll remember how you made them feel.

So if you've been wondering what to post this week, don't overthink it.

Share a story.

The one about why you started your business.
The challenge that changed you.
The client you'll never forget.
The moment everything clicked.

Because your story isn't what makes you look vulnerable.

It's what makes you relatable. ❤️

Second shoot for Sorrel and first one in my brand new home!!! 🎉🎉🎉

Sorrel's business has skyrocketed and she believes the brand shoot she did with me two years ago played a huge role in her success!

Being visible is not about vanity.. There's a significant ROI for a business and brand photography can contribute towards more enquiries, more clients and more profit!

Super early morning walk today in Stanney Woods. I usually start working promptly at 9am every morning (as a mum of school going children I only get 5ish hours in the day and there's only so much time stretching you can do!)

Loved being out in the open... It also reminded me of we brought Elsa home as a teeny tiny pup more than 4 years ago (you can't tell from the photo but she's become a bit of giant now).

My daughter (who was 6 then) was absolutely petrified of dogs (I mean hyperventilating whenever she saw a dog!)... To the point where she nearly pushed me on to the road to get away from the neighbour's labrador!

So we did what we thought was best... We made her face her fears, and we got her a dog!

And it was love at first sight! 😍😍😍

The second she saw Elsa (yes she kept that name too), they have been inseparable!

Every time I think of this story, I think about facing my own fears too. Sometimes all you need is that one act of courage and then the confidence follows.

All you have to do is take that first step.. You won't be on your own, you will have always have support and love around you, and you will realise you can do anything once you believe in yourself.

Four years ago, when I started my business, I thought visibility meant social media.

Post more. Share more. Show up more.

And while social media has definitely helped me grow my business, some of the biggest opportunities I've had over the last four years came from things that happened off social media.

Networking events. Speaking opportunities. Referrals. Partnerships. Conversations. Simply putting myself in rooms where I didn't know anyone.

That's why I believe visibility is about so much more than posting online.

It's about being seen, known and remembered by the right people.
