A little sneak peek from this weekend’s engagement session ✨It was our first time meeting these two; so sweet, full of energy, and completely up for anything! We spent the evening wandering through St. Boniface along the river, chasing good light and finding beautiful little pockets of the area. Needless to say, there were way too many favourites from this session. 🤍 We can’t wait to share more of these two soon!

Back where it all began 🪾🪵We started this engagement session at the very park where these two got engaged, revisiting the place that holds a special chapter of their story. Then, as we often do, we followed our creativity to a random building with texture that perfectly fit their adventurous spirit. The best engagement sessions aren’t about the location—they’re about the connection. We can’t wait to celebrate alongside them when they say “I do” in just a few short months.

We’re seeing more corset gowns, basque waists, textured suits in earthy tones and wedding parties wearing bold colours. And best of all? No rules. Your wedding should feel like you — authentic, artistic, unforgettable.

As wedding photographers, we get asked this all the time — should we do a first look? We’re big fans, and here’s why…

✨A first look gives you a quiet moment together before the whirlwind begins. Just the two of you, soaking it all in, feeling the nerves melt into excitement. It’s intimate, emotional, and incredibly special.

✨From a timeline perspective, it also means we can capture wedding party and portraits before the ceremony — leaving you with a more relaxed afternoon and more time to actually enjoy your people. And the best part? You still get that second wave of emotion when the aisle moment happens. It never takes away from it — if anything, it adds to the day.

That said… it’s not for everyone. Tradition, personal preference, or simply loving the anticipation of that aisle reveal — there’s no right or wrong.
