They don't make em like they used too!!! Can you even buy an appliance anymore that lasts more then 10 years?! Is anything made to last, no, it's all about profit profit profit! One of my favorite scenes when out exploring the prairies is finding a cool old automobile decaying. The old vehicles seem to just have a unique style that appeals to me!

All good things must come to an end. Tough to accept, but I think we all face that same reality. Some days I wish I could lose this pessimism, but I think it is just who I am. Seeing scenes like this makes for a nice short and temporary escape. Taken around the hills north-east of the Battleford's area.

Well I guess the smoke is back. Perhaps at this point we just accept the fact that it is going to be a common occurance every summer now. Just like accepting everything else in our new reality. Higher cost of living, Ai, crime, mental health issues, etc. etc. I know I shouldn't complain because I personally do not have it bad. But I just see the reminders everyday and it wears a person down.

I went for a visit home to Yorkton on the weekend. Checked out some of the flooding to the East and experienced one of the hottest days I can ever remember. On Sunday it was +45c with the humidex. Caught a cool little storm rolling north of the city as well.
