"Everyone online looks so polished. I don't even know where to start."

That's what a coach told me at the start of our first conversation. Her clients hire her for who she is, and yet she felt much more comfortable hiding behind their images than showing up herself.

Here's how I do it. We begin with a consultation about her goals and what she wants people to feel when they find her. Then we choose her colour palette, shop her own wardrobe, and plan what to buy so every look fits her brand. No guessing.

When she saw her finished images, she couldn't believe how great she looked, and how authentic it felt. Soon after, more and more clients started finding her.

When we plan your portraits, I help with what to wear. During the session, I guide your posing and expression, so you have someone helping you through every step.

A client recently told me something I can't stop thinking about.

She's always the one with the camera. She photographed every moment of her kids' childhood to send to their dad, who works long shifts away. Now her kids are looking back at those photos, and they can't find mom in them.

I'm a mom and a photographer, and I'm always behind the camera with my own family too. It made me realize that being in the moment and being in the memories are two different things.

I never look relaxed when I try to photograph us myself, so I hire a photographer regularly. Because my kids will be looking for photos with me, not just photos of themselves.

The moment I show a grad's first sneak peek on the back of my camera is my favourite part of the day.

Mom looks at the screen and realizes just how grown up her daughter has become.

You see her every day, so you don't notice it happening. A portrait stops you in your tracks. And it makes so many of us wonder: have I captured enough of these years before she grew up?

Graduation is the last pause before adulthood begins. It deserves to be marked with intention, guided, styled and celebrated. That's what a Model for a Day session is all about.

When was the last time someone photographed the two of you? 💛

Not as Mom and Dad. Not holding the kids. Just you two.

For so many couples in their 40s, life is full: careers, school runs, busy weekends. Every family photo is about everyone else. And somewhere along the way, you stopped being in photos together.

During this family session, we took a few moments just for them. She had professional hair and makeup, I guided every pose, and they got to simply be a couple again. Laughing. Close. Present. 🥹

And her individual portraits? She looked stunning. Confident, radiant, and so beautifully herself. ✨
