I’ve been quiet on this page for a minute, but wedding season approaching has me in my feels a little bit. Since I started my business, I’ve been part of over 40 weddings - which is an incredible honour that I don’t take lightly.
Anyone who knows me knows that by default, I’m almost never a serious person (maybe to a fault). But even if I’M unserious, I take my responsibility with weddings incredibly seriously.
I love a beautiful posed photo as much as the next person, but the moments I take incredible pride in capturing are the real, candid and emotion-filled moments that come with every wedding. It always makes me so emotional to be in rooms filled to the brim with love, laughter and connection.
Anyone who’s gotten a gallery from me knows that they are overflowing with candids of laughter, tears, dancing, human connection and moments that many people miss.
Photos like these are, to me, the absolute most important photos that can be captured. Knowing that sometimes photos I take may be the last good photo taken of someone makes me beyond dedicated to capture them exactly as they are - so you always remember the moment and not just the face.
All of that to say, I wanted to take a moment to share a small selection of some of the most memorable photos I’ve taken over my 4-year career.
