​I was so nervous to travel out of the country with just my two kids, but they were so helpful and made the whole trip easier than I ever imagined. We’re coming home with the best memories and a heart full of gratitude.

​I even managed to get some decent photos of us! It’s been way too long, and I feel so blessed.

It's been a while since I showed my face on here. Thought I would introduce myself for some of you that are new here.

My name is Helva, a Campbell River based photographer with over 10 years of capturing families, weddings, maternity, babies and all the beautifully real moments in between.

I’m a momma to two teen humans who challenge me daily, keep life interesting, and constantly remind me how fast this season passes. They’re my biggest inspiration and the reason I’m so drawn to freezing moments because real life is messy, emotional, loud, and incredibly meaningful all at once.

My sessions are relaxed, playful, and pressure-free, no stiff poses or “say cheese” energy here. Just natural movement, real connection, and images that actually feel like you.

Photography, for me, is more than photos. It’s storytelling, memory keeping, and proof that even the everyday moments are worth holding onto. Let’s create something fun, honest, and beautiful together 🤍
