Unexpected surprises!
Went looking for the iconic "Chainsaw" (T063) - which we found. BUT!!! the old man T087, "Harbeson" also showed up to the party north of Campbell River.
This legend of the Salish Sea was born in 1962 - he's older than me!!!
He is magnificent in every way and feeling quite blessed that he showed up in all his amazing glory.

Compilation video of footage that I took of multiple matrilineal groups from the Bigg's Killer Whale population.

In some spots it's not that stable - but tried my best to stabilize the footage. Please note that we absolutely maintained at least the minimum metres per regulations and that I have quite a powerful zoom with 2 teleconverters activated today for a reach of 1400 mm and then further cropped when stabilizing the footage in iMovie.

Captain Justine of Eagle Eye Adventures (Campbell River) dropped the hydrophone in the water and ALL the vocalizations you hear during this video compilation are from the whales today.
