I am Michele Sortland, a newborn and family photographer in Calgary and surrounding area. Watch Me Grow Photography doesn't just provide family’s with their moments frozen in time but also an experience! One that mimics going out for coffee with an old friend, or game night giggles with the family. I offer in-studio and on location sessions. With my studio work, I do love keeping things simple and

the focus is of baby, you and your family. Classic images that will never go out of style or dated. The foundation of my work is a neutral palette while incorporating pops of colour once in a while. With my on-location work, I love capturing a balance of you and the environment; creating an image that carries a story to remember for years to come. A rich, festive cranberry red with a classic, contemporary feel. Soft neutrals, creams, and muted reds pair beautifully with this bold backdrop.

🌲 EVERGREEN
October 25 & November 8
A deep, traditional evergreen with a minimalist Christmas feel. Warm neutrals, creams, and little pops of cranberry or gold look beautiful against the rich green.

For both setups, I’ve kept the styling intentionally simple — oversized ornaments, large white gifts, and just enough Christmas magic without letting the decor steal the spotlight from your family.

🎉 And there’s no need to stress over the “perfect” Christmas outfit. ❤️ PJs, cozy winter clothes, jeans and sweaters, festive or fancy — they can all work beautifully.

🤍 One of my favourite parts of a newborn session is watching parents slow down and simply soak in their baby for a little while.
