During our recent day trip to the mountains, we discovered yet another hidden gem in the beautiful Canadian Rockies! 🏔️✨

Located about 7 km north of Lake Louise along the Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park, Herbert Lake is a picturesque spot renowned for its mirror-like reflections of Mount Temple and the surrounding Main Range peaks. The lake is especially magical at dawn, when the water is calm and glassy, creating stunning reflections of the majestic mountains.

I’m so glad we arrived just in time for sunrise and were able to capture the mountain peaks glowing in the early morning light. Moments like these remind me how incredibly beautiful nature can be! 📸🌄

The legendary Icefields Parkway is one of the most spectacular drives in the world! 🏔️🇨🇦

Also known as Highway 93 North, this breathtaking scenic route connects Lake Louise in Banff National Park with the town of Jasper in Jasper National Park. Stretching 232 km through the Canadian Rockies, the parkway offers some of the most dramatic mountain scenery and awe-inspiring landscapes in Canada.

Here are a few mountain views captured along the parkway between Lake Louise and Saskatchewan Crossing, near the junction with Highway 1.

A drive to Abraham Lake in the Fall never disappoints. The colours are so vibrant, it takes your breath away. This 4-image stitched panorama was taken along the David Thompson Highway that runs parallel to the lake, offering spectacular views at various viewpoints. More photos to come.
