I am SO excited to officially welcome Alysha to the Ember + Coal team! đź–¤

Alysha has been a part of this business for more years than I can count. She has supported me from when Ember + Coal was a very small business to what it is today, has been one of our incredible ambassadors, and has stepped in front of my camera for more sessions than I can count.

She knows this brand. She knows our clients. She knows the experience. And most importantly, she genuinely believes in what we do.

I am so excited to have her officially joining the team in a new capacity!

You’ll be seeing Alysha taking consultation calls, helping with client follow-up and payment plans, supporting our social media, and helping behind the scenes with our community and client experience.

We don’t tolerate fat-phobic bu****it here.

And before someone jumps in with “but health…”

I’m not talking about health.

I’m talking about the belief that women have to shrink themselves before they’re worthy of being seen, celebrated, desired, photographed, or loved.

I’m talking about the comments disguised as concern.

The unsolicited advice.

The assumption that a woman’s value increases as her body gets smaller.

Every single week, I photograph women who have spent years waiting.

Waiting to lose weight.

Waiting to feel confident.

Waiting to finally deserve beautiful photos.

And every single week, those women walk into my studio exactly as they are and create images that leave everyone speechless.

Because beauty was never the thing they were missing.

The permission to see it was.

So no, we don’t tolerate fat-phobic bu****it here.

Because women deserve better than spending their entire lives believing they have to earn their worth by taking up less space.

Bo***ir is kind of like vacations.
You can absolutely go camping for the weekend with a tent from Walmart and still make amazing memories.

Or… you can book the all inclusive.

Both are technically vacations.
Both get you away from home.
But the experience is wildly different.

Bo***ir is the same way.

You can find $200 sessions.
You can find someone who hands you unedited images in a parking lot and calls it a day.

And you can also invest in an experience where literally every detail is taken care of for you.

Despite our communication to really get to know our clients before their session, it happens still!
But somewhere throughout the day, everything changes, and all our clients leave feeling like this.

Reminded that you’re allowed to take up space
Reminded that you’re a bad ass with a good ass
Reminded that you don’t have to play it quiet or small to be incredible
Remind her that you don’t have to shrink yourself to be the best version of you
Reminded that you actually do freaking love yourself
