Saw this Red Bull #888 Mustang cruise past while I was out shooting… so naturally I had to chase it down. 😂📸
After surviving Townsville’s completely cooked traffic lights, I caught it before it disappeared.

Red Bull Ampol Racing… spotted in the wild. 👀🏁

I was already out shooting when I saw this thing cruise past on the other side of the road.

Obviously, I had to go after it. 😂

After battling Townsville’s absolutely flawless traffic-light system- seriously, how does it take 15 minutes to travel 10 metres? I finally caught up with it at the Ampol Australia servo before it disappeared.

This is decked out in full Red Bull / Ampol / Triple Eight Race Engineering racing Supercars livery, complete with the #888 treatment and enough sponsor decals to keep me busy tagging people for a while. 😂

Red Bull, Ampol, Ford Racing, National Storage, Shaw and Partners, Amplify Premium Fuels, Snap-on, Wurth Australia, , Dunlop Sports , Thrifty Car Rental, Supercheap Auto, Quad Lock, Foxtel, bp, Kayo Sports… they certainly didn't leave much paint uncovered.

Couldn't let it get away without giving the camera a workout. 📸

One last look at the yellow R34. 💛📸

Finishing this one off with the full 20-image gallery.

What looks like an already wild R34 gets even more interesting once you find out what’s under the bonnet , the RB is long gone, replaced with an LS V8.

Japanese coupe, American V8, sitting low on deep-dish wheels and finished off with C6 Corvette-inspired quad exhaust tips. It shouldn't make sense, but it absolutely does.

Cheers to Evan for letting me get stuck into this one. Definitely one of the more interesting roadside finds I've stumbled across.

Spotted this bright yellow R34 Skyline while cruising around Townsville and couldn't drive past without grabbing some shots.

Turns out it's LS swapped, Japanese coupe, American V8, with C6 Corvette-inspired quad exhaust tips.

Skyline with an LS-swapped heart! - I just found out!

I was rolling around one of Townsville’s new estates looking for a four-storey house with an infinity pool, waterfall and rooftop helipad. You know… normal Tuesday stuff.

Then I spotted this thing.

A bright yellow Nissan coupe sitting under some seriously angry North Queensland skies. Obviously I had to stop.

A couple of young blokes nearby were pretty quick to claim it as theirs too. 😂 They played the part well… right up until it became fairly obvious that neither of them actually owned it.

Turns out the real owner of this Skyline has a bit more going on than the badges suggest.

It **doesn’t have an RB anymore.**

Evan picked the car up years ago without an engine and went a slightly different direction, LS swapping it. . So underneath the Japanese R34 bodywork is now a big American V8, with the quad exhaust tips out the back inspired by the C6 Corvette he'd love to own one day.

That'll do. 😂

I managed to grab a few digital shots and even got the 35mm film camera** out for a cracking frame with an **Apache helicopter sitting behind it.

Then the sky started getting darker, the rain was coming, and unfortunately I actually had somewhere I was supposed to be.

Sometimes I find them.

Sometimes they find me.

And apparently sometimes some random kids just tell me they own them. 😂

I genuinely love getting out and doing this stuff. The meets, the cars, talking s**t with everyone and then getting home to see what I managed to capture, it’s bloody good fun.

The only downside is that 160 photos don't edit themselves... and apparently beers don't magically appear in the fridge either. 😂🍺
