New beginnings✨
Last year I started something new with my photography and I have loved every minute 🥰
My interest in birth photography started 05/02/2020 when I had the privilege of being in the room with my sister for the birth of my beautiful niece Alayah. Witnessing the love and courage of a women giving birth, and the emotions surrounding it is truly inspiring and unforgettable.
Since then I spoke about my interest in birth photography and admired the work of other photographers.
Until one day, my beautiful friend asked me if I would be interested in photographing the birth of her second child 😍 I couldn’t believe it and was 100% all in. I was so grateful and tried my best to over plan to make it a beautiful experience. Later learning that you can’t plan for everything and you just need to go with the flow.
Fast forward to the day 20/10/23 I got that text, letting me know it was starting to happen and be ready for the call. She was a cheeky baby, starting up and slowing down. I arrived at the hospital in the afternoon and took some before photos then went home to give mumma some rest as it was going to be a while. Tyla was so positive and relaxed. When I came back it was in full action and ready to go. Witnessing the strength and commitment of a mumma giving birth is truly amazing. From the pain, tiredness, and hope to the magical moment of seeing her baby for the first time 😍 I knew this was something I wanted to continue.
Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your special moment and memories. You and the family are so special to me and I will never forget.
