My first ever Canon camera. Thank you Canon ANZ for sponsoring the IRIS Awards by NZIPP - the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography.

Special shoutout to Tom Duncan (Canon NZ) and Gemma Ortlipp (Canon Aus) for the arrangement and special delivery.

p.s. So rare to have a made-in-Japan camera these days. Just love the tote bag. You guys will see me “wearing” it around town and 🌎.

One of the perks of attending international events is to be able to catchup with old photographer friends and meet new ones; including the Sony fam.

20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 - Tennis 🎾
Wong Chak Lam,Coleman黃澤林 of Hong Kong, China 🇭🇰 — Men’s Singles Gold Medalist 🥇

With this victory, Coleman earns his ticket to the LA28 Olympics 🇺🇸.

What an incredible day of “firsts” for Hong Kong at these Asian Games — and this one feels especially personal to me.

I first met and started photographing Coleman back in 2019, when he was just 15 years old. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of following his journey through so many tournaments, from those early days as a young and hugely promising player to this moment today — standing on the top step of the podium as an Asian Games champion.

Watching someone you’ve known since they were a kid grow, mature and achieve something this special is a pretty emotional feeling. I feel incredibly proud to have been able to witness and document a small part of that journey over the years.

Congratulations, Coleman! 🥇🇭🇰
You’ve come a very long way — and I’m sure there’s so much more to come. ❤️
