Most people following me on here probably don’t know this, but I’ve spent most of my life searching for the one thing that would truly light me up and give me a sense of purpose.
For years, I moved from job to job. They were “fine”… but none of them felt like me. I was always searching for something that made me feel like I was making a real difference.
Before I started Sunny Coast Paws, I felt a little lost.
When I discovered pet photography, I finally felt like I found something I had been looking for my whole life.
Being trusted to capture the bond between people and their beloved pets is something I’ll never take for granted. Watching someone see their images for the first time, the smiles and sometimes the tears, is one of the most meaningful parts of what I do.
I know how much your animals mean to you, to me.
I’ve met people whose dog carried them through illness, heartbreak, grief, and some of the darkest chapters of their lives. I’ve heard stories of dogs who gave someone a reason to get out of bed each morning, who became their reason to keep going when all they wanted to do was to give up.
The photographs and the stories they tell are such a beautiful way of holding onto an unconditional love that changes us forever.
I don’t think I realised how much this work would change me too. Every family I meet reminds me why I do this and every story I hear reinforces that this is exactly where I’m meant to be.
If you’ve trusted me to capture your story, thank you. It means more than you’ll ever know. 🤍
