recently my not so ‘little’ guy turned 7, and it was for moments like this that I actually learnt photography.

I wanted to understand the art of light & timing & bring it all together to capture my favourite humans exactly as they were in a moment, so I could remember them always 🤍

they grow so quick. their quirks change. their interests change. their features change. but each year, the day before their next birthday, I capture them. their brightness. their features. the little things that might not be there forever: the freckles, the missing tooth, the hair style & their toy of choice. so in many years from now, I can look back & be taken right back here, exactly as they were.
