Today feels a little special.
31st March 2012 was the day I photographed my very first wedding, Trudy & Aaron - I’ll always remember your beautiful love fest!
And even now, the photos that still pull at me most are the candid ones.
The moments that weren’t staged.
The moments that just happened.
The moments that told the truth.
I think that’s where it all really began for me, this deep knowing that authenticity would always be at the heart of the way I document people, and their love stories.
Because weddings were never meant to be copied and pasted.
No two days are the same.
No two people are the same.
And that’s the beauty of it all.
Over the years, in an industry filled with so much talent, I’ve learned that I don’t need to chase what everyone else is doing. I just need to stay true to the way I see and feel things.
And I have.
I’ve stayed in my lane.
I’ve stayed true to my word.
The best part? Even though I’m terrible at keeping up with algorithms and being consistent with posting and showing myself and my life on my socials, MY kinda people always find me.
The ones who value photography, honest moments, real connection and photographs that feel like memories, not performances.
And when it’s the right fit… it just feels easy.
For them. For me. For the story we’re about to tell 🌻🙏🏼
