Three years of running Havana Haus, and more than a decade working full-time in this industry… we get it.

A little look back at Campaign Edit 🤎

I’ve been in this industry for over a decade now, and I’m still learning, growing, evolving, building and sharing.

That’s really what Campaign Edit was about.

Not just taking pretty photos, but understanding the why behind the shoot. The lighting. The direction. The concept. The team. The edit. The business side of it. All the little things you only really learn by doing this over and over again.

We spent two days shooting in completely different environments, talking through the process and creating work that had purpose behind it.

And within 24 hours of sharing her images from the workshop, one of our attendees had already booked paid work from them 👏🏽

That made me very happy.

Havana Haus has never just been a studio you hire by the hour. It was built from years of working in this industry, knowing what photographers need on set, what brands need from their imagery, and what makes a shoot work.

Campaign Edit was me opening that up a little more and sharing what I’ve learnt along the way.

Very proud of this one.

And yes, we’ll be doing it again 👀

The cyclorama is coming out. Praise bby Jesus.

In its place, a permanent set that’s already done for you- so you’re not spending the first hour of your shoot dragging furniture around the studio like a removalist.

There’s also one part of the new set that is going to do verrryyyy nice things with afternoon light. We have a feeling it’ll end up being one of the most photographed spots in the whole studio 🤭

Upstairs, the podcast room is losing a wall because, realistically, it was too small. Shes also getting a glow up ofc.

Obviously...

We close on 19th September for our full studio renovation, which means just four Havana Headshot dates left:

Friday 4th September
Friday 11th September
Sunday 13th September
Friday 18th September

Choose from a quick 20 minute Express session or our 40 minute Signature session if you want more variety, multiple setups and an outfit change.

Shot by me in our natural light studio downstairs, with plenty of direction the whole way.

You do not need to know how to pose.
You do not need to know what to do with your hands.
That is quite literally my job 🙌🏽

Three weeks and this cyclorama is gone!

Not repainted.
Not “refreshed.”
Gone.

And to be fair, it’s overdue and we can't bloody wait! 😂

This was always our least booked studio, and it wasn’t ever supposed to be like this. With a 2.5m ceiling, lighting it properly was a pain, so most people took one look and booked the natural light studio instead.

Fair enough.

So rather than keep trying to make it work, we’re ripping it out and building the version of Havana Haus I’ve wanted to create for a long time.

I’m filming the whole thing too. The demo, decisions, chaos, sneak peeks, all of it.

No polished little before/after reveal where we pretend it happened overnight.

This is the last month anyone will ever shoot in this version of Havana Haus.

If you’ve been meaning to book it, now’s the time.

Okayyyy. It’s happening!
After three years, Havana Haus is changing.

Not in a “throw a coat of paint on it and call it a relaunch” kind of way.

We’ve had thousands of shoots through this studio now, and over time you get very clear on what people actually use, what they want more of, and how much everyone is trying to squeeze into one shoot day.

So we’re taking the things you already love about Havana and building on them.

Some of your favourites downstairs are absolutely staying 💕

We’re just adding more variety, more functionality, a better cyclorama, a bigger podcast studio with all the trimmings, and changing up the vibe a little.

Same Havana Haus.

Just more grown up 💅🏼

We close on September 19th for a couple of weeks while we make it all happen.

And if you’ve been thinking about booking for October, November or beyond, you do not need to wait.
