As evening settles across the Coromandel coast. The island off the coast of Whangapoua is bathed in the soft golden light of the evening sun. It’s a scene that feels both timeless and intimate — a small island standing alone against the sweep of sea and sky.
The contrast between the warm, illuminated rock and the brooding, grey sky creates a powerful visual balance. The clouds hang low and heavy, with a storm having recently passed, while the sunlight breaks through just enough to ignite the island’s surface with gold and green tones. The calm ripples on the shoreline and the gentle gradient of turquoise to deep blue water add a soothing counterpoint to the dramatic atmosphere above.
There’s a quiet strength here — a feeling of isolation, resilience, and calm perseverance. The small trees clinging to the rocky surface evoke endurance and grace, thriving despite their exposed position in the elements.
This evocative coastal image captures the small island just off the beach at Whangapoua, gently illuminated by the last golden light of the day. As evening settles across the Coromandel coast, the sun breaks through a brooding sky, washing the island in soft amber tones and revealing the rich greens of its vegetation. The surrounding sea, calm and glassy, reflects this moment of balance between light and storm.
The contrast between the dramatic sky and the tranquil water creates a sense of quiet strength and solitude. It’s a scene that embodies the rhythm of the coast — ever-changing, yet timeless. The subtle textures of the rock face and the stillness of the incoming tide lend the photograph a painterly quality that draws the viewer into its calm, meditative mood.
Available on archival-grade paper, fine art canvas or acrylic face mount, the print’s soft, natural light makes it ideal for a living space, study, or gallery wall, bringing with it a sense of connection to New Zealand’s coastal wilderness.

The fleeting moment of a rainbow arching gracefully over a moored yacht at sunset, with the hills and coastline bathed in soft, post-rain light.
The balance of serenity and drama: the anchored yacht offers a sense of calm and stillness, while the radiant rainbow arcs vividly across a sky still heavy with retreating rainclouds. The hills beyond glow with streaks of sunlight, revealing patches of rich green that contrast beautifully with the violet-grey tones of the passing storm.
There’s a strong emotional current here — a sense of quiet after the storm, of renewal and reflection. The rainbow becomes a bridge between water and sky, a symbol of light’s return and the delicate interplay between nature’s forces. The reflection in the estuary and the diffused light across the scene enhance the painterly quality.

Yacht with Rainbow Sunset is a celebration of stillness and wonder — that perfect pause when storm clouds part and the world glows anew. This piece brings a sense of calm optimism to any space, a reminder that even after the heaviest rain, beauty returns in light and colour.
Printed on archival fine art paper or high-definition metallic finish, this photograph captures both the gentle texture of the sky and the brilliance of the rainbow’s spectrum. Ideal for coastal homes, offices, or anyone drawn to the poetry of light and water, it’s a work that evokes peace, resilience, and the timeless grace of nature.

This tranquil coastal landscape — a view across the bay toward the hills at Hot Water Beach, New Zealand.
The beautifully layered composition of the foreground ripples and small surf lines leads your eye across the calm, reflective blue water, toward the dense, forested shoreline that forms a natural base for the sunlit hills beyond. The soft light of late afternoon, creating a delicate balance between cool ocean tones and warm golden highlights on the hillsides.
There is contrast between the deep greens of native bush and the bright, rolling pastures on the right-hand slope adds visual interest and depth. Above, a soft pastel sky with peach-hued clouds suggests the lingering warmth of low sunlight.
There’s a sense of stillness and distance — the kind of quiet moment when light, land, and sea briefly align.
Bring the quiet beauty of New Zealand’s Coromandel coast into your space with this serene landscape. Across the Bay – Hot Water Beach captures that fleeting light where the ocean’s rhythm meets the calm strength of the hills. It’s a reminder of the natural harmony found only in moments like this — peaceful, grounding, timeless.
Printed on archival fine art paper or available as a gallery-quality canvas or face mounted acrylic. This piece radiates a soft luminosity that transforms with the changing light of your room. Ideal for a living area, study, or coastal home, it invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and reconnect with the essence of coastal New Zealand.

Imagine standing on the edge of the earth’s own palette — where fiery orange meets deep mineral green and the air shimmers with rising steam. This is Champagne Pool, one of New Zealand’s most extraordinary geothermal wonders.

Dominated by vivid contrasts — the brilliant orange rim is created by deposits of minerals such as arsenic and antimony sulphides, while the emerald green water owes its color to colloidal sulfur and ferrous salts suspended in the pool. Rising steam veils the surface, adding an air of mystery and emphasizing the intense heat of this geothermal environment (the water averages about 74°C). Visually, it feels almost surreal — a meeting of earth and chemistry, where the planet’s hidden energy paints its own abstract masterpiece. The strong interplay of orange, green, and white-gray gives it a painterly quality reminiscent of color-field art, while the rising mist softens the edges, inviting the viewer to linger between the real and the otherworldly.

The power and serenity of the waterfall — the silky blur of water suggests a long exposure, transforming the rushing descent into a smooth, ethereal curtain.

The lush green moss and foliage on either side create a vivid contrast against the pure white of the falling water, highlighting the richness of the surrounding temperate rainforest. Mist rises where the water meets the pool below, softening the edges and giving the scene a dreamlike atmosphere.

Immerse yourself in the raw beauty of nature with this stunning image of Bridal Veil Falls. Captured at the base of the cascade, it reveals the sheer power and grace of water in motion — a curtain of mist and light framed by lush, vibrant greenery. Perfect for bringing a sense of calm energy and natural wonder to any space, this photograph transforms the wild serenity of New Zealand’s landscapes into art you can feel.

"Reflections” — A Symphony of Light on Water

Immerse yourself in the ethereal beauty of Cloud Reflection, a mesmerising study in color, calmness, and motion. This piece captures the fleeting magic of light dancing upon rippling water — where sky meets sea in a seamless gradient of rose, violet, and sapphire hues. Each water movement carries the reflection of a changing sky, creating a living canvas that shifts with every glance.

Cloud Reflectionstranscends simple representation to enter the realm of Colour Field abstraction — where emotion, perception, and light become the true subjects. Inspired by the elemental purity that defined the mid-20th-century movement, this image transforms a natural reflection into a vast, immersive field of color and sensation.

Like the works of Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler, and Morris Louis, this piece invites contemplation rather than observation. The gradations of pink, violet, and blue unfold like a meditative horizon — soft yet profound, expansive yet intimate. Each ripple on the surface introduces subtle texture, echoing Frankenthaler’s soak-stain technique, where pigment and surface merge into one living continuum.

What sets Reflections apart is it's fusion of nature and abstraction. The piece captures a real moment of reflected light, yet it dissolves into pure chromatic emotion — a digital age evolution of Colour Field’s spiritual intensity. It invites viewers not to look at the image, but to enter it — to feel enveloped by its atmospheric calm and quiet radiance.

In essence:
This work bridges the natural and the abstract, the transient and the timeless — a modern echo of the Colour Field ideal: that color itself can be a vessel for transcendence.

Perfect for modern interiors, galleries, or corporate spaces, Reflections evokes tranquility and inspiration. Its luminous palette transforms natural light, turning any room into a serene escape — a reminder of nature’s quiet poetry and the art hidden in every moment.
