Nothing is ever as simple as it looks. Compare the size of Owen's shadow to his work. The entire artwork took 1 hour and 40 minutes, the frangipanis may look simple but there is a lot of shading and they are massive once you see them top-down. 👌🤩🏆🏝️

Something a little different emerged on Thursday from Owen Surf Art - Solearte Australia 's work in the sand. The wind had dropped and, the ocean calmed for the second time this week. ☀️💦🏝️

If you missed this one it was because the lower tide was later in the morning and Owen needs the firmer packed sand for the best effect. Another winner yet again, thank you, Owen!

The ocean has called to our souls since the beginning of time. 🧡💦🏝️

I need my ocean swims like air yet I've never bonded completely with the art of swimming and breathing under water. I wade into the ocean without fear and all respect. It is my kindred spirit after all. 🧘‍♀️

The conditions have been a bit tetchy lately but we saw a peep of sun on Tuesday morning that lit up the storm clouds to perfection. The perfect contrast against the calm ocean. 👌

Sunrise magic crowning Owen's whale sand mural yesterday. Owen Surf Art - Solearte Australia certainly has a way with the weather, yesterday at least. This shot taken on tippy toes from the boardwalk trying to get a view over all the fast growing she-oaks that are quickly racing to the top of the rails.

Winter Blues from First Bay, Coolum Beach. ☀️💦🏝️

On Friday, I was on my second walk heading along the boardwalk, wishing myself into the water. Once I reached Point Perry and was looking down into First Bay, I knew I had to get my drone airborne. I have finally named her. It's taken almost a year. 'Lady Hawk' it is. One of my favourite movies and a tribute to a very noble bird. Small yet very efficient.

I'm not fond of launching in busy places, still a bit nervous, but north of the First Bay beach I found a quieter spot and soon had this stunning water captured for my Blue Coolum Series. Nature is truly the best artist. 🧡

PS: absolutely no filters needed 🤩

The sun detail from 's Mooloolaba Beach sand art on Thursday morning celebrating Queensland's Best Beach. ☀️🐬🏝️ To fully appreciate Owen's work compare his height to that of the part mural. And yet when you get overhead it blends perfectly into the landscape. 🏆
