Being in a studio doesn’t mean your photos have to feel staged.

There’s room for movement. Cuddles. Chaos. Kids being kids. And all those little in-between moments that actually feel like you.

The difference is, you get all of that in a space where the light is always beautiful, the weather doesn’t matter, and I can gently guide you the entire way.

You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need perfectly behaved children.
And you definitely don’t need to be “good in front of the camera.”

My newborn sessions are intentionally kept simple - beautiful light, soft neutral styling and a focus on your baby, so the portraits you take home feel just as timeless in 20 years as they do today.

And behind every image, your baby’s comfort and safety always comes first. We move at their pace, allowing plenty of time for feeding, settling and cuddles, while gently creating beautiful portraits of these fleeting early days.

Obsessed might be an understatement for this one.

When a fellow photographer stepped into the studio for her own Winter Noir session, she wasn’t celebrating a pregnancy, a new baby or a particular milestone.

She was simply taking the time to celebrate herself.

And I absolutely loved that.

We played. We experimented. We created something a little dramatic, a little glamorous, a little playful and this was the result!

There is something really special about creating portraits simply because you want to. About allowing yourself to take up space in front of the camera, feel beautiful, have some fun and create art from this version of you, right now.

One of my favourite things about Winter Noir was having the freedom to create galleries like this together - and I think this one might be staying in my favourites for a very long time.

You don’t always need a milestone to be worth photographing. Sometimes, celebrating you is reason enough. 🖤🔥
