Well… by the end of the night at RUSHWORTH SPEEDWAY there were THAT many sedans tearing around the place that I gave up trying to work out what class was what. 😅

From my side of the camera lense, they were all just one giant mud-slinging, tyre-smoking herd charging around the track — so I’ve bashed them all together into one big sedan gallery.

Out of roughly 850 photos from the night, I’ve curated this smaller selection - quality rather than quantity - with the aim of getting at least one solid shot of every car where possible. If I’ve somehow missed you, please let me know your car number and I’ll go digging through the archives to try and find one for you. And if you see a shot you like and want more from your race, flick me a DM — there’s a very good chance I’ve got extras tucked away for you to look through.

So grab a drink, dive into the dust cloud, and start digging through the herd to find your winners. The gallery is live, the action shots are ready to roll, and make sure you tag your mates so they can’t escape their infamy. 😂 If you’d like high-definition, watermark-free versions for instant digital download, please pop over to my website and grab them directly there > www.shaynetwright.com

Looks like the front left already took the night off. 😂

I’m just grabbing some dinner before I sort through the chaos and mud — photos from tonight’s speedway action will be rolling out later tonight. Don’t bend anything else while you wait!”

I’ve had a heap of messages asking when the sedan photos are going up from RUSHWORTH SPEEDWAY last night… the problem is there were three different sedan classes there, and from the outside they all look like they escaped from the same paddock! So instead of trying to sort the herd into neat little groups, I’m just going to release one giant sedan stampede tomorrow and let everyone loose through the gallery themselves.

Stand by… the VSC Sports Sedans, VSC Juniors and GV classes as the rest of the sideways clay cavalry are all galloping toward Photoshop as we speak. 🏁📸

AMCA Nationals Victoria put on another fantastic show at RUSHWORTH SPEEDWAY last night with a small to medium field that was still incredibly entertaining to watch. I caught them recently at Heartland Raceway Moama as well, and they continue to impress me every time they hit the track. They’re a seriously nippy class of car, always carrying good speed and putting on close, action-packed racing that’s great for spectators and photographers alike.

Last night was also the first real outing for my new Canon R6 Mark II camera, and overall I came away genuinely impressed with what it was capable of in some very difficult lighting conditions. Once the sun disappeared, the track lighting and winter conditions made photography extremely challenging, but the R6 still managed to produce images at ISO levels that would have been unheard of for my old Canon 6D. Many of the later shots were taken up around ISO 12,000 to 20,000 — something the old 6D simply would not have handled in any usable form. In my opinion, the 6D would not have produced photos that were even social-media worthy in those same conditions.

That said, I do hold a professional standard for the work I release for sale. While the later evening photographs are perfectly fine for social media viewing and sharing, I won’t be making the darker after-sunset images available for private download purchase. I’d rather maintain the quality standard people have come to expect from Shane T Wright Photography than release files I’m personally not 100% satisfied with. The daylight and sunset images, however, came up beautifully and really showed what the R6 is capable of.

As we move closer into winter, the shorter daylight hours definitely make speedway photography tougher once the sun drops away, so we may just have to wait patiently for spring and those longer golden-hour race evenings to return again. A huge thank you to everyone at Rushworth Speedway, the drivers, teams and fans for another enjoyable night at the track, and thanks as always to everybody who supports local speedway photography by following, sharing and purchasing images. Your support genuinely helps keep me out there at the next event.

Last night’s trip to RUSHWORTH SPEEDWAY was absolutely worth the travel, with the VSC Unlimited Chassis Sedans — the Lucky Sevens — putting on a brilliant show all night long. Plenty of action, clay flying everywhere and some seriously entertaining racing made for a top night at the track. If you’re ever passing through the area and looking for something different to do, make sure you drop into Rushworth Speedway and have a gander — it’s a fantastic little venue with great racing.

The full photo album is now being released, with digital downloads available for $15 each. There’s a stack of action shots from throughout the night, so keep an eye through the gallery and tag your mates if you spot them throwing it in hard. Photos for downloads can be found at https://shaynetwright.com/rushworth-speedway-23-may-2026-vsc-unlimited-chassis-sedans-aka-lucky-7s/

As always, a huge thank you to everyone who supports local speedway photography. We don’t get tow money or appearance fees to attend events — this is all passion driven. Every purchase helps cover fuel, camera gear, maintenance and the costs of getting to the next race meeting, and it genuinely helps keep us trackside bringing these moments to life each weekend.

Appreciate all the support legends!

The VSC Unlimited Chassis Sedans — better known around the traps as the Lucky Sevens — put on an absolute show at RUSHWORTH SPEEDWAY last night! Big horsepower, sideways action, flying clay and plenty of door-to-door racing made this one of the standout classes of the night. If you’ve never watched them live, you’re missing one of the most exciting classes in Victorian speedway.

The photos are already racing out the door today, so keep an eye on the page over the next little while as galleries start dropping. There’s some seriously wild action shots coming from this meeting — plenty of mud, attitude and full-send racing from the Lucky Sevens!

Something different is brewing in the background over the off-season… 👀

While the cameras are getting a well-earned breather between race meetings, the work behind the scenes definitely hasn’t stopped. Alongside the upcoming monthly “Photographer’s View” video releases from the past season, there’s another project quietly taking shape that’s been consuming a lot of late nights, testing, experimenting, and creative energy. This is only a tiny sneak peek of what’s coming — and trust me, there’s a lot more to reveal yet.

The goal this off-season isn’t to disappear until the engines fire again… it’s to keep building, keep creating, and keep bringing speedway fans along for the ride in brand-new ways. If you want to be first to see what’s unfolding, make sure you’re following Shane T Wright Photography and Right Stuff Media, because over the next few months there’ll be more previews, progress shots, behind-the-scenes reveals, and some seriously cool surprises dropping along the way. 🔥🏁
