Before she could walk or talk she’s been performing. This may have been the one millionth performance I’d seen but her very first solo singing performance infront of a packed crowd. She got up with more confidence than most adults, introduced her song, sang her heart out and even had a giggle because it was just that much fun.
The crowd saw a 7 year old girl but I saw my 6,5,4,3,2 and 1 year old in all the different performances over the years. What a privilege it is to be a witness in her life.

My baby, thank you
“She’s got my humour, my eyes, and my creativity.
Sometimes it feels like I’m raising a mirror.
But then she opens her mouth and out comes a bravery I never had at her age.

That’s when it hits me, she isn’t my reflection.
She’s my revolution.

She’s softer with her heart, but stronger in her stance.
She doesn’t shrink.
She doesn’t ask permission.

She doesn’t feel like she’s too much,she just is.
I hope she always knows she was never meant to make herself smaller to fit anywhere.
I want her to take up space, fully and unapologetically, exactly as she is.

My daughter is chaos, light, and power in one breath.

She’s not just my little girl, she’s my healing, my why, and my reminder to never settle.”

There’s too much from this shoot to even attempt to fit in one post but here’s a snippet. From climbing trees, to sword fights, snuggles with mum and comfort from their special toys. This one was pure joy. I’ve got to watch these boys grow over the last 4 years and the privilege of OG clients isn’t lost on me.

This beautiful girl is my friend Shae, she recently booked an extended shoot and of course a moment for just her and the kids is a non-negotiable for me. In the busy life of a mum being the coordinator, carrying a heavy mental load, being that safe place to fall and often putting yourself last you deserve your soft moments captured. For you but also for them.
Look at her with her first born Max. Shae you’re a great mum and I hope you feel that everyday.
Also side note, when friends support your business it hits in such a deep way. So grateful.

I’ve got soooo much to share from recent shoots, I’m very behind on my posting but I couldn’t go past this one. This photo makes me smile for so many reasons but a couple are. 1 - I know they had fun and memories were made on this shoot not just images captured 2- mum had moments of this age to hold forever 3- those big real joyful smiles, connection and love they have clearly on display here.
