Sony Foundation & St Andrews College
Did you know there was a Sony Foundation?
Yesterday my son's and I were some of the very lucky recipients of the respite camp collab between the Sony Foundation and St Andrews Sydney University 🎉
We celebrated the International Day of People with Disability by seeing a community minded tech company and leading educational Institution come together like they have for many years to create these on campus camps for kids with disabilities
How beautiful and inspiring to see the ethos of the International Day of People with Disability in action!
The camp was designed to give the kids the best 4 days they could imagine and us carers the rest and respite we need
I am eternally grateful for all the Sony Foundation and St Andrews College and it's amazing students have done each and every year for 4 years for our family ❤️
There's so much inequality, inaccessibility, non inclusion and stigma when it comes to disability
It's so beautiful to see big companies and universities quietly doing something just for kids with disabilities and their carers
Just to make a difference ✨️
International Day of People with Disability isn't the reason behind this camp but it's a great time for all of us to reflect of how we can include acceptance, equity and accessibility in our worlds too
