The little moments that you don't get to see.

So often I'm asked "why on earth would you want someone there when your baby is born?"

The answer is simple: Having a birth photographer there, allows you and your partner to be totally and 100% IN the moment.

It also frees up your partner to completely support you every step of the way, rather than focussing on taking photos and keeping family members updated (I keep family members updated on every step of the way, without spilling too many beans - that is your privilege).

It is a fascinating organ.

The human heart will beat roughly 2.5 to 3 billion times over an average lifetime - all without ever taking a break.

And as a birth photographer, it is interesting to know, that a heart will beat, even before it is fully formed.
