One of the things we love most about African lodges is their coffee table photography books. Taking a few moments to slow down, turn the pages, and get lost in the images. Every photograph tells a story, brings back a memory, or sparks a new travel dream.

✨ They spend up to 16 hours a day in the water to keep their bodies cool
✨ Despite their size, they can run up to 30 km/h
✨ Their skin produces a reddish substance that works like a natural sunscreen 👀
✨ They can hold their breath underwater for around 5 minutes
✨ They are considered one of the most territorial and dangerous animals in Africa
✨ Baby hippos often rest on their mother’s back while she swims 🧡
