Here are some of my "Secrets" on how to get the best possible natural Poses from couples. Enjoy!
Standing Poses
• Foreheads Touching, Holding Hands
Close your eyes, touch foreheads, and breathe in sync. Think of a time you felt totally safe with him/her.
• Facing Each Other, Gentle Embrace
What’s one moment with him/her that plays in your head on repeat? Whisper it in his/her ear.
• Hug From Behind
Hold him/her from behind like you do when he/she has had a rough day. Now say nothing — just feel him/her there.
• Side by Side, Arms Around Each Other
Say out loud one thing about him/her that gives you butterflies — and don’t look away.
• Walking Slowly, Hand in Hand
As you walk, tell him/her the exact moment you realized he/she was more than just a crush.
• Lean Into Chest, Hands on Heart
Rest your head on his/her chest. What are you grateful for about him/her right now?
• Nose-to-Nose, Playful Energy
Make the funniest face you can while staying nose-to-nose. Whoever laughs first owes the other a kiss.
• Whisper Prompt While Holding Close
Whisper the first memory you think of when you hear his/her name — don’t let me hear it.
• Holding Each Other’s Faces Gently
Look at him/her like it’s the last time before he/she leaves on a long trip. What would you say?
• Lift or Spin (if natural to them)
Imagine he/she just surprised you with amazing news. React like you would naturally.
Sitting Poses
• One Between the Other’s Legs, Leaning Back
Lean into him/her like he/she is your favorite place to land. What makes him/her feel like home?
• Shoulder-to-Shoulder, Legs Tangled or Crossed
Tell him/her the one thing you admire about how he/she has grown since you met.
• Face to Face on a Bench or Blanket
Without words, tell him/her you love him/her — only using your eyes.
• Lay in His/Her Lap, He/She Strokes Your Hair
While he/she plays with your hair, tell him/her what you needed to hear most this year — and he/she will repeat it to you.
• Leaning Back Against One Another
Take turns saying, ‘I’ve got your back because…’ and finish the sentence.
• Side-by-Side with One Head on the Other’s Shoulder
Think about your lowest moment — and how he/she was there for you.
• One Sitting, One Standing Holding from Behind
Hold him/her like he/she holds you together when life feels too much.
• Sitting Facing Each Other, Hands Held Between Legs
Describe what you felt when you first introduced him/her to your family.
• Backs Against a Wall or Tree, Shoulders Touching
What’s something you two have overcome that made you stronger?
• Sitting in a Tight Hug or Cradle Pose
Let him/her hold you like he/she would on your worst day. Say nothing — just breathe.
