Some women leave an imprint on your heart.

I photographed this beautiful woman who is quietly fighting one of the biggest battles of her life. I won’t share her story because it’s hers to tell, but I will say this…

She showed up.

She chose to celebrate herself instead of waiting for “one day.” She smiled, laughed, embraced every moment, and reminded me that courage isn’t always loud. Sometimes courage looks like putting on your favorite outfit, standing in front of a camera, and choosing to see your own beauty despite everything life has thrown at you.

As I photographed her, I realized that what I do was never really about the makeup or the beautiful photos. It’s about reminding women who they are when life tries to make them forget.

She inspired me far more than I could ever have inspired her.

To the women fighting silent battles… whatever they may be… I hope you never stop seeing your own strength, beauty, and worth.
