Currently traveling through the coastal communities of British Columbia riding bikes and taking a few pictures along the way. No real photography genda beyond enjoying the road and seeing where nature leads next. This was just a little cell phone drop, but moments like this are hard to pass up.

The carving standing against the ocean and sky felt like a quiet reminder of the deep history and culture woven throughout the coast here. Road trips like this always remind me that not every image needs to be planned — sometimes it’s simply about slowing down, exploring, and appreciating the stories carved into the landscape around us.

[Rose-breasted Grosbeak]
Well… it’s been a very interesting spring. We had 90° weather two months ago, then 7 inches of snow a week ago, and yesterday it was 84°. Seems like this is just how the year is going to be.

I haven’t been able to get out nearly as much as I’d like because of a few other commitments pulling me in different directions. But hey… it’s only May.

Holy smokes ... It’s May already.

Still plenty of time ahead for early mornings, muddy trails, summer storms, wildlife encounters, and all the moments that make getting outside worth it.

Now, go outside even if it's just for 5 minutes. You'll thank me.

Happy Bat Appreciation Day!

Let today be a reminder to notice the underappreciated and often unseen—quietly shaping the world around. The more we pay attention, the more we realize just how much depends on what we tend to overlook.

Saw our first bumblebees this weekend!!
Wow wow wow .

Like everything, it feels a little early this year. Nonetheless, the Queens are out. Take care not to over rake or clean up too much leaf litter. This post is your authorization to not clean up your yard. 🙂 There are bugs still happily sleeping underneath.
