I never expected this to become one of my favorite things I’ve ever done.
When I first picked up a camera, I thought I was just taking pictures. Then somewhere along the way, it turned into spending a few hours with some really incredible women. Every session is different, but somehow they all end the same. We laugh way more than people expect. We hype each other up. We figure out poses together. Somebody usually says, “I can’t do this,” and five minutes later they’re absolutely killing it.
When I look back at all the sessions I’ve photographed, I honestly don’t think about the final gallery first. I think about everything that happened before I even pressed the shutter. The random conversations. The jokes. The moments nobody else gets to see. Those are my favorite parts. The photos are beautiful, but the experience is what sticks with me.
It’s been a little while since I’ve had clients in the studio, and putting this website together reminded me why I fell in love with all of this in the first place. It reminded me how much I missed those days. I’m excited to get back to creating with amazing women again, meeting new faces, seeing familiar ones come back, and making space for people to just exist for a little while without worrying about the rest of the world.
At the end of the day, I’m just grateful. Grateful that people trust me enough to let me be part of moments they’ll probably remember for a long time. That’s never something I’ll take for granted.
