Misty Benham is a professional portrait photographer with more than 20 years of experience. She strives to fulfill the needs of her clients, and her goal is to make people happy through her attention to detail with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. She offers expert photographic services in the studio or on location and is willing to travel when necessary to meet her client's needs. Misty gradua

ted from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science in Photography in 2005. She was recognized by the faculty as the outstanding student photographer in the School of Communication during her senior year. Misty has been a member of Soroptimist International of Winslow (a non-profit organization directed toward helping women & girls) since 2009. Misty is a substitute teacher for the Winslow Unified School district, she owns a property rental LLC, and she renovates houses. When she's not working, she enjoys traveling, painting, dining with friends, spending time with her family, and landscape photography. She currently resides in Winslow with her husband, two teens, two dogs, and a cat.

I realize I haven't posted anything in a long time but life keeps me busy with other projects. I still do a little photography here and there but my main focus these days is managing rentals and renovating houses. 🏚🏠

I also substitute teach and care for my disabled father and maintain my household responsibilities. I'm currently working on updating my website with new images and package pricing.👩‍🏫👴🏻👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🐕🐕🐈

After 22 years, I've also decided to step away from wedding and special event photography. It's physically taxing on my body, time consuming, and I don't have the stamina for it anymore. I'll continue to do portraits on location or in studio while I work toward retirement. 😊

Here's a few houses I've transformed (with my amazing crew) in the last 5 years. I take more architectural photos than people photos these days.😆

Last fall I photographed the most adorable 18 month old. Her grandmother and I discussed our options and we decided to do a calendar shoot. We were short on time but we managed to coordinate and switch out all the props, capture 12 months, and wrestle/entertain a busy little toddler in an hour. We were pooped! LOL. My friend used her favorite images to create a calendar for her daughter for Christmas. 🥰

It's been 7 months since my last post. The global pandemic slowed everything down for everyone but I'm still here. The quarantine gave my family a chance to spend quality time together and work on a major landscaping project. I've spent the last few months painting rocks, tackling projects around my house, and navigating the distance learning experience with my 5th and 7th grader. I probably should've watermarked and posted photos to this page and updated my website but photography has been the last thing on my mind. It's finally fall break and since everything is closed and there's nowhere to go, I'm going to do my best to post some updated images. I'm only a few years behind on my posts. 😆🤷‍♀️ Here's a few pictures of what I've been doing over the last few months.

I had the pleasure of photographing the most adorable 10 week old Siberian Husky puppies last week. There were 2 males and 2 females and they all had different personalities.
