I’ve been an intimate wedding and elopement photographer full time for two years now + it will forever be mind blowing to me that I get to capture love for my job. When I was little, I used to watch Rip Girls (shoutout to the old Disney Channel Originals) on repeat. All I wanted was to be one of those girls, living in Hawaii and surfing every day.

Then, when I got older and started traveling on my own, it became painfully obvious how inspired I felt when I was anywhere near water. Always so relaxed and creative.

I never thought it was a possibility really that Matt and I would live somewhere near the ocean (at least until we retired and hopefully bought something on the Oregon coast Lolol).

So, when Wilmington came into the picture it felt like an unrealistic dream. When we visited for the first time together, I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that we could actually live near the ocean. Especially somewhere that instantly gave me the peace that Oregon does (iykyk).

We’ve been here for a little over two months and it’s wild that I already feel my stress levels dropping. My creativity coming back. My excitement just create to create. It’s crazy how much the location you’re in can’ affect you.

I’m so excited for this next chapter and for everything that’s ahead. & who knows, maybe I’ll learn how to surf. 🏄🏼‍♀️
