In just 6 weeks this incredible Nashville community helped raise $13,511 for The Catio. Every single entry, vote, and share contributed to that number and we are beyond grateful for each and every one of you.

Today is Star’s gotcha day. He is 10 years old. I adopted him 9 years ago, from an animal shelter 3 hours from where I lived at the time. I couldn’t take him home that day because he wasn’t fixed yet, so I had to make the 6 hour round trip to pick him up a week later. There was a barking dog or some other loud noise when they were getting him out of his carrier and he ran and hid. But they found him. Over the last 9 years, he has been an amazing cat. He is still scared of strangers, but warms up to people quickly. He loves to follow me around, especially to the kitchen. He loves cheese (and I have to pay the cheese tax anytime I eat some). He loves to give headbutts and kisses. And he is super talkative. And smart. He knows tricks. And he knows the exact way to get on my nerves to get what he wants🤣. These are photos I took during his photoshoot last year that I never got around to posting. Stay tuned over the following days for the rest of the photos. And for his 2026 photoshoot.
