A great headshot does more than show people what you look like—it helps them feel confident about doing business with you.

It was a pleasure creating these portraits for Caitlin Gartz, Licensed Real Estate Agent with Howard Hanna. Professional, approachable, and polished, Caitlin's images reflect the qualities that help build trust and lasting client relationships.

Whether you're in real estate, finance, law, healthcare, or any client-focused profession, your portrait is often your first introduction. Make sure it represents you at your best.

Our Mini Branding Sessions are designed to do exactly that. Each session includes an in-person consultation, guided posing, multiple looks, and professional retouching to create images you'll be proud to use on your website, LinkedIn profile, marketing materials, and social media.

Because your personal brand deserves more than a quick snapshot.

Senior Spotlight Saturday: Emily DePlato – Class of 2027

Emily DePlato has had an incredible senior year, balancing academics, leadership, and a full roster of activities. She’s been the Captain of Varsity Field Hockey and Flag Football, a dedicated member of Band, and participated in 12 school clubs. Beyond school, she’s been actively involved with the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women, showing her commitment to community and leadership.

Looking ahead, she’s excited for the opportunities college will bring — meeting new people and diving into new experiences. Reflecting on the past few years, she’s learned that no matter how tough a situation seems, she is strong enough to handle it and grow from the experience.

Her future goals are ambitious: she hopes to graduate with a double major in psychology and kinesiology and start working on her master’s in psychology. While she’ll miss seeing her friends and family every day, she’s grateful for their support — especially her parents, who have been her biggest cheerleaders since childhood.

Fun fact: she’s surprisingly skilled at Musical Chairs, winning in front of the whole school during Homecoming week! And she’s looking forward to not having to wake up super early for school clubs every morning.

Emily DePlato’s senior year is a testament to her hard work, determination, and zest for life — we can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes next!

Confidence. Style. A little edge.

Jerry’s senior session blended classic studio portraits with outdoor images that feel relaxed, polished, and completely authentic to who he is right now. From dramatic black-on-black styling in the studio to casual outdoor portraits around the gardens and village streets, every look brought something different to his session.

Senior portraits should feel personal — not rushed or cookie-cutter. That’s why every session at Short Street Photographers begins with a planning consultation so we can create images that reflect each senior’s personality, style, and interests.

Now booking Class of 2027 senior portrait sessions for summer and fall. Prime dates always go quickly, especially for outdoor sessions in our newly renovated studio gardens and on-location portraits throughout Western New York.

They greet us at the door, curl up beside us at the end of long days, make us laugh without trying, and somehow become part of every chapter of our lives.

The hardest part about loving a dog is knowing their time with us is never long enough.

That’s why preserving their memory matters. Not just quick snapshots on a phone—but portraits that capture their personality, their spirit, and the way they looked at you.

Whether playful, gentle, goofy, or regal, every pet deserves to be remembered beautifully.

At Short Street Photographers, we welcome pets both in the studio and throughout our newly renovated garden spaces, creating portraits that become treasured keepsakes long after the paws stop padding down the hallway.

Because they may only be here for part of our lives… but to them, we are their whole world.

✨ Saturday Senior Spotlight: Katie Johnson, Clarence High School Class of 2026 ✨

Katie’s senior year has been nothing short of remarkable! From dominating on the Clarence Girls Varsity Soccer field—earning Section VI All-Western NY Scholar Athlete honors—to making music magic in the Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra and All-State Wind Ensemble on English horn, Katie has balanced athletics, academics, and the arts with grace and determination. She’s also been giving back through weekly volunteering at The Clarence Pantry, showing a heart as big as her ambitions.

Katie will be taking her talents to the University of Pittsburgh, entering the 6-year BS/PharmD Pharmacy program, where she plans to continue her love for music and soccer while building lifelong friendships and independence. A proud moment few get to see? Winning the Clarence High School Band Concerto Competition, with a solo performance at Kleinhans Music Hall this June!

Outside of school, Katie is an adventurer—climbing Colorado “14ers” for her sweet 16th birthday, excelling in skiing and swimming, and planning future challenges like a half- and full marathon. She credits her parents for raising her with confidence, good manners, and strong values, and her sister Caroline for being a role model in both music and life.

Katie’s advice to her younger self? “Everything will fall into place; it just has its own order.” With her drive, heart, and spirit, we can’t wait to see where life takes her next!
